  • Getting Started with the Arduino GIGA R1 WiFi.
    Let's unbox the GIGA R1 WiFI. Prepare the Arduino IDE. Try out some example sketches. There still seems to be some kinks. But you know I will keep trying. Stay tuned.
    Arduino boards and the Arduino IDE. Awesome way to get started in programming microcontrollers.

    Looks like a cool board. So far I haven’t been able to get my Win 7 computer to recognize it.

      That poses a difficult problem. I just checked in device manager and I find the driver is native to Windows 10, usbser.sys. Best wishes.

    I followed all the instructions, installed the dfu drivers etc. and made the bootloader but I can't see the card on the COM when I put it in DFU mode and press the Boot 0 +RESET button... why???😢

      "To burn the bootloader on GIGA R1 WiFi, it needs to be connected in DFU mode: Connect your GIGA R1 WiFi to your computer using a USB cable. Find the two push buttons labeled BOOT0 and RST on the board: Press and hold BOOT0 button. Keep the BOOT0 button pressed down, and press the RST button once. Release both buttons."

      @@ShotokuTech I have already read these instructions!!
      When I enable it in DFU mode it connects but the IDE DOES NOT DETECT THE USB port

    in my command prompt after i do telnet (IP address) but they show "Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed"

      Things to check: Both are on the same network. Network profile on the computer can effect firewall settings. So you might need to allow telnet port 23 in firewall settings or make sure you are on a network that supports Private profile.

    I wonder if this board is going to be used for 3D printers. I think it may be able to run Marlin, but 32-bits. Does anyone know about that?

    Has anyone figured out how to do an audio pass thru - from the ADC to the DAC?

    • @ShotokuTech
      @ShotokuTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. I need to revisit this thing. My first experience was not that positive. It seems the hardware is ahead of the software support for it.

    This Gigs is the flakiest board ever! Web editor don't see it, IDE dont see it, installed the drivers, dont see it, several good usb cords, don't see it.

      @@ShotokuTech OK. I am not sure how far you got with the Giga but I am now able to program it. All I had to do was press the reset button twice, not too fast not to slow...you wait a few seconds and should be able to write to the Giga. Just have everything plugged in and ready, do the button press thing and upload your sketch. Let me know if you need any more help.

      @@drakkorvladimir4012 I think I mentioned the double reset in this video. At least I remember having to do that at some point while making the video. I will probably revisit this board again soon. I also have The Arduino R4 WiFi on deck right now. Good luck. Thanks.
