- A healthy pantry can offer comforting storage for nutritional foods. Besides whole grains, beans, nuts & seeds, adding fruits and vegetables makes it easier to create nutritious meals later from scratch.

I mixed new footage with old to create this healthy pantry video. It’s not easy for most of us during this time to eat healthy foods without going to stores as often. However, if you plan your pantry well, it’s not difficult to create healthy meals from it. I hope this helps you with some ideas. Please stay home, maintain social distance, while eating healthy. Be safe and take care!
Thank you
Any tips and tricks for dehydration? The high temperature does not destroy some nutrients? Thank you and fantastic video
Thank you and you're welcome. From my experience the temperature lower than 125 degrees is best. My tips for drying fruits are to cut them evenly so they can be done at the same time, also keep them in a single layer. For vegetables, I remove the stems as they are harder to dry.
I love all the inspiration, especially using terracotta trays for sprouting. I tried it as well but my sprouts turned out mouldy. How do you keep your sprouts for moulding? I would really love to know! Thank you!
Dream pantry, dream kitchenware, dream life for me
Thank you so much, I hope you make healthy foods for your own pantry too!
@@GourmetVegetarianKitchen i still live with my parents, so i can't decide everything, but i still do some things for my pantry. I usually dehydrate celery, parsley, carrots, leak and such under summer sun and store it for a year until next summer, so good for making soups. Also make my own concentrated stock (a thick vegetables paste for soups and such), pickled cucumbers that love a lot, make eggplants in oil with condiments, tomato sauce etc. But i still aiming to get more things, to can more, to dehydrate more and get almost everything made from scratch. So i love your chanel, I've learned a lot from it. Now I'm making my own soy sauce (it's gonna take a while, you know hahaha), so I'm thankful for you sharing. As usual, I'm waiting for your next video, the one I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy and learn from it. Even we have different cultural background, i find it so helpful. So thank you. Stay healthy!
Dream kitchenWare ...so true...
Your repertoire and diverse knowledge on the preparation, fermentation and extending the shelf life of vegs and fruits is just simply breathtakingly beautiful. How could not someone be smitten by the notion of becoming a non meat follower, I do not know. Keep making your loving videos, namaste.

Thank you so much for this. I dehydrated parsely I had trouble fitting in my freezer yesterday. I'd love to do it with more. 🌼🌿 Take care. 💛
I know what you mean about freezer space. I used to have two freezers in my basement but got rid of them both when we downsized our house. Dehydrating solves my freezer problem too!
Thank you so much 😊
Love this! Thanks

My dream pantry 😍
U r amazing....most people can't Think of making these all at home and prefer store bought only...
Can you also show us how to properly freeze food in your own way. I feel like I could learn so much from you.
Freezing is a little bit difficult if you don't have a big freezer. I'll do it when I have more room in my freezer. Thanks for the idea, please check back!
Wowww ❤ You're Inspiring me, ibu

You're welcome. Thank you for watching!
To put it bluntly; #NoExcuse is what thos vid could easily be called. I am not vegan, but heard lots of vegetarians, vegans, or people who try to practice 0 waste etc etc using excuses on why they had to break habits. I think this vid shows that there are enough options out there that of you put enough effort in, or at least obtain the knowledge nothing is impossible. This video made me humble and rethink on my own habits and what could be improved. Thank milady, thank you. Hugs and kisses from UK 🙇♀️ namaste
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Madam your video is an eye opener. Never thought of dehydrating so many different types of veg and fruits. Also the way your grind the dried the kale into powder. Thank your for sharing. Stay healthy.

늘 잘 보고있어요. 건강하세요.
Incredible ! How much time do you spend everyday in your kitchen ?
Thank you so much! Things you see in the video don't take a lot of time at all, most of them take less than one hour. However, I spend longer time to make kale chips as I like to make a lot at a time :)
i i love LOVE your videos
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you like my videos!

If it is ok drying in the sun? So hot in here in the phillipines i wanna try this healthy pantry.
Yes, but make sure to cover it with something to prevent bugs and flies. I'm so glad you are going try this!
You are highly intelligent wonderful vedio
This is wonderful thank you! I have the same dehydrator as you and the only thing I don't like about it is the cleaning after. I notice you use parchment paper. Can you use the parchment on every layer and with every ingredient and does it affect the drying time please? TIA, I hope you are keeping safe :)
I had the same cleaning problem before so I use parchment paper and it solved the problem. Yes, I use it with every layer for all kind of food I dry and it doesn't effect the drying time at all. Stay safe and healthy too!
@@GourmetVegetarianKitchen - thank you so much!!!x
I really love your videos!! Thank you so much. A hydrator has been on my list for a while now, but I think the time has come for me to get one! ;-)
Je fais ça avec des herbes indiennes en les séchant à l'air libre et c'est vrai que ça se conserve beaucoup mieux mais il faut avoir un deshydrateur... Merci pour cette bonne idée
You're welcome. Yes, I have an old dehydrator, but I hang dry some herbs too!
Thanks for sharing your videos! A quick question please. How long does it take you to dehydrate products? Could you give us an example?
It doesn't take long at all. I usually do it before bed and let it overnight.
Forgive my ignorance, but I was curious if terracotta from a gardening resource centre is considered food safe. Are you aware of any undesirable elements (metals being my primary concern) mixed into the clay?
Thank you so much for all your informative and beautifully filmed videos as well as your emphasis on the advantages of environmentally responsible materials.
esto es increible
Gracias!
I speak fluent German, and was confused when the Christmas music started xD He sings something like: Good Evening Good Night Sleep well little Jesus Christ. :)
Do you have a book we can buy and download these recipes? I would love one so much!
No, I don't have a book. You can go to my website and copy any written recipe you like, I posted most of what you see in the video there. You can copy, paste it to google doc and you can print it then. (I don't have a print button on my website, so it might be inconvenience)
Wow very inspirational. I thought peanuts needed to be roasted?
Thank you so much. I like to sprout and dehydrate before turning them into raw peanut butter, but you can roast them instead.
would love the recipes for all the goodies
Magnifique
ça m'inspire tellement >o<
Thanks !!
beautyful
You inspire me! I used to make my own oat milk, oat cakes, hummus and peanut butter and Nutella with my mini food processor but have lost the motivation and time. (I know I must make the time) What's the food processor you use in this video? Is it as quiet as it is in the videos or so you filter that out? I have a Nutri ninja blender and it's just so loud I don't enjoy using it.
i’ve never used dehydrated veggies before excpt mushrooms. how would you use something like the broccoli?
I use mushroom, broccoli, spinach mostly for soup. I like to sprinkle kale powder on pasta dishes and smoothies, but you can use them as you do with fresh vegetables.
I find things like broccoli and tomatoes, rehydrated in boiling water, useful and delicious in frittata and similar egg dishes.
@@jackstrubbe7608 i’m vegan so I don’t eat eggs but it might be a winner with soup! thanks for the suggestion!!
@@GourmetVegetarianKitchen that sounds so good! thanks for the suggestion!
amazing. do you sprout the flax seeds on flower pot water collecting dishes? please reply cuz im the edge of my seat waiting to go to the hardware store for some!
Can you show us how to make homemade cold-pressed oil from nuts and seed?
Hi... fantastic video.. am curious ! What r the nutritional levels of these.dried veggies and fruits ? Does it reduce or stay same ?
❤❤❤
Why not just use a freezer? Or canning?
