As a young modern woman, Morissette loves these classics and interprets them in a modern and understandable way for today's generations! Who of today's vocalists even bothers to think of us! Unfortunately no longer young but active!
These kind of classics were the songs that I grew up with because they are the favorites of my parents. Morissette just made this song pleasant to our ears in this RnB-Pop generation. ❤
The original is Audrey Hepburn from the film breakfast at Tiffany's, Andy Williams has probably the more famous cover of this classic, I've no doubt MORISSETTES cover is the easiest on the for me 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️

I always remember Andy Williams singing this song back in the day! I never knew Johnny Crawford sang it! Sure enough! TH-cam had Crawfords performance! You learn something everyday! Nice reaction to Morisett… she has a beautiful voice
Hi Jan, this is auntie. My mama loved a song that Johnny Crawford sang on the Rifleman. It was called Something Special. She wrote the network and ordered the album called "A Young Man's Fancy". It had Moon River and Something Special as well as many other great songs. I was just the age to have a big crush on him. I almost wore that LP record out. I still play it on occasion. In fact, it is on my record player right now! lol
I’ll have to go back to TH-cam and listen to that other song! They did have the album a young man’s fancy but I didn’t listen to it. He was such a cute kid on the rifleman!!

Just to help you know Mori......the fella playing the bass is her musical director, Adonis Tabanda....and the young guy singing with her in the split screen was her fiancé ( now husband) Dave Lamar . Usahay is a song in her native dialect called Bisaya . Moon River , written by the amazing Henry Mancini in 1961, and used and sung by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffaney's , and then recorded by many....a signature for Andy Williams , She speaks 3 languages fluently, English , Tagalog ( Filipino National language) and her native dialect, Bisaya . Dave's parents are Missionary's and his mom is from New Mexico. Yes this was recorded during the pandemic, she was at home.....the outside scene was after the lockdown was lifted and filmed by Dave.
it's quite usual for Filipinos to speak 3 Languages. This is so because we have 2 official languages that is Pilipino and English. And we also spoke our own regional or even down to provincial language.
llonggo, that is such interesting information. In Texas schools we are encouraged to learn one other language besides English. I took Spanish 2 years and still don't know enough to converse with my Hispanic friends in their language. I am so very impressed with all of y'all.
Just an observation, Auntie (with glasses?) I can hardly hear you when you speak. Your microphone can't pick up what you're saying unless you face towards Mrs B when you speak. Maybe you need to sit a little closer to Mrs B. Just saying. But apart from that nice reaction. We all love Mori, right ladies?
Thank you, Antonio! I will be sure to be closer to the microphone next time. It was surprising that it happened that way, because we are always set up this way. It IS something to look into.
She speaks and can sing in English, Tagalog, Visaya and Korean. She is a multi language performer. Thats 1 of many skills that make her so great.
Mowienatic, wow...she is amazing and soooo blessed to have fans like you who appreciate all of her accomplishments and share them with us!

Elbi, we can tell how much she loves the classics! What a wonderful girl.
Two world classic thousand miles apart brought to us no other than our Queen ❤️🙏💪🏻
Henry Mancini would be so proud to see this marvel, it is the best version of Moon River I have seen, Mori is another level, she is super charismatic
Yanki 1, Mancini was such a talented songwriter! We agree that he would be so proud of her treatment of his song.

We noted all the suggestions and will get to them as soon as we can. Thank you, Amerigo.
« Usahay » is a classic song from the island Cebu where Morissette is born. That another language. This classic was popularized in the early 50’s.
Interesting information, Marie. Thank you so much for sharing.

She should be an international Superstar household name.
Kevin, we agree! It could happen. We live in an area that is one of the last places to hear about someone like this, so there is hope.
Romantic!
Absolutely!💕

Good point, Samuel!
Originally sung by Audrey Hepburn
I think she speaks 3 languages? English, Tagalog and her mother tongue VISAYA which is the USAHAY she just sang.
Bingo, this is very interesting!
Very true...She also can speak and sing Korean. Remember "Resignation" ?? That was a shocker to the Korean listening audience.
