efra and waleska...u need to react the song" hindi tayo puede"by the juans...and"porque"by morisette... the original version of porque called maldita... very relaxing song...plsssssssss...
Hi Waleska! The second song "Usahay" (Sometimes) is a Bisaya song and actually an old song way back in 60's. It was written by Greg Labja who fell inlove with a young lady named Noemi. She is now 79 yrs old. At that time, her suitors and admirers was so many, among them captains and crew members of the boats that docked. But it was the musician Greg who won her heart. She says Greg composed “Usahay” (Sometimes) because “yung nakita nya na ako” (when he first saw me), she paused and coyly giggled like a high school junior, “hindi na nya ako makalimutan” (he couldn’t forget me). ❤❤❤ And this song was later on sang by Pilita Corales, a living legend singer in the Philippines who has a very iconic style in singing 🎙️
There's another Visayan singer way before Morissette. Her name is Pilita Corales. Now I know why Morissete great talent. Cebu is known for talented singers.
Many singers also in Luzon, and mostly their genre is country music which is not popular in the music industry, kaya hindi sila well known but, if you go to their provinces very popular sila.
The Filipino language is Syllabic. We pronounce all letters. Every vowel is paired with a consonant. And words are combinations of different syllables...
This is a masterpiece a mashup of classic song Moon River & Kundiman song 🎵 Usahay a Visayan Kundiman made my heart ❤ melts! Kudos to Morisette musical production and the one who involved on producing this MASTERPIECE! Love it❤️
USAHAY is bisaya song which Morissette's native tounge. appreciate how she arrange it! a world class talent indeed.. God bless u mori and thank you kita and efra for this reaction! mabuhay po kau..
Usahay is in Bisaya not Tagalog.. oh by the way Usahay is a Kundiman music an old genre music of Philippine.. so you see why Filipinos love ballads jazz and rnb cause its near our old music.
Guys, Usahay is a love song that was interpreted in her native dialect of VISAYA. The outdoor scenes was filmed in TANAW, Cebu. Cebu is a bustling island located among other islands in the middle part of the Philippines, where Morissette was born on June 2, 1996. FYI, the Philippines has 165 dialects among its over 7106 islands, only over 2000 are inhabited. The song Moon River was composed by a famous American by the name of Henry Mancini. This song was used as a soundtrack to an Audrey Hepburn movie back in 1961 called Breakfast At Tiffany's. Another iconic Jazz composition by Mr. Henry Mancini a lot of you might recognize is the famous Pink Panther Theme Music.
Wonderful background information, sir. Just a slight correction, the location shoot was done in Tanaw Park in San Pablo, Laguna and the mountain in the background was Mt. Banahaw. I learned that information from Adonis Tabanda (musical arranger for and double bass player in this video) on his channel as I, too, was curious where the beautiful location was. :)
This view made me emotional. Both songs are timeless. USAHAY is an old Visayan love song which I think a majority of all Bisaya knows how to sing this song. I remember our mom's and grandma's sing this song when they put us babies to sleep thats's why listening to this made me tear up. By the way, try to listen to the lyrics of the song it makes you appreciate it more.

Efra was right! It’s Oo-SAH-hai. 😆 She sang in Bisaya, the main language of Cebu. Usahay was originally made popular by Pilita Corrales, the Grande Dame of Filipino love songs, who is also from Cebu. Do take a look at her work, she has influenced all the younger singers you are currently reacting to. I can’t miss out on commenting the fantastic job they did on Moon River. I love that song! So great that they thought of this beautiful mashup, it’s perfect.
Thank You so much to both of you Waleska and Efra and I really loves you're honest reactions every music video of MORISSETTE 👏❤ God Bless to Both of you 🙏🙏🙏

Usahay is not Tagalog, it's Cebuano/Bisaya. It's one of the most prominent languages in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, including Cebu City where Morissette came from.
Morissette Amon for me is the Best Singer today👑☺❤ shes no.1 her vocal ability is so amazing..... Pls. React to her cover of RUN TO YOU on ASAP and her Broadway Stages at home singing SHE USED TO BE MINE, SOMEONE LIKE YOU etc...☺❤❤ thanks
In his reaction video on this, Adonis Tabanda who usually makes arrangement for Mori was saying she had the majority of the ideas showcased in this mashup. Now I’m really even more impressed by her musicality. :)
Yes! Turn it up!! Lol. Mori is actually singing in her native, native language called Bisaya (bee-sah-yah) which is widely spoken in the middle and a bit of the southern part of the country. Dave Lamar usually is the one doing her videos and doing the edits and he's pretty creative...as you can see. They're a great couple because the creativity just flows endlessly between the. And Adonis Tabanda is also so in tuned with Mori's talent that you'll see them collab always. Cheers guys.
i’ve been waiting for you two to react on this...i really love on how you react to morisette❤️waleska and efra are adorable too! look geogeous all the time😘
Usahay is a classic song just like the Moon River. Its not Tagalog but Visayan (or Bisaya, another major dialect in the Philippines). Beautiful mashup of two good oldies which Morissette conceptualized.
Usahay is a Visayan word for "Sometimes." Visayan is one of the many local languages in the Philippines. Born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines, it is actually Morissette's true native dialect (not Tagalog/Filipino). So proud of her singing this timeless, classic, Visayan song. English translation: "Usahay nagadamgo ako nga ikaw og ako nagkahigugmaay." (Sometimes I dream that you & I fell in love (again).) "Nganong damguhon ko ikaw? Damguhon sa kanunay sa akong kamingaw." (Why do I keep dreaming about you? Dreaming of you in my loneliness.) "Usahay magamahay ako nganong nabuhi pa ning kalibutan." (Sometimes I regret living in this world (now that I no longer have you).) "Nganong gi-ti-aw-ti-awan ang gugma ko kanimo, kanimo day?" (Why did you have to play with my feelings for you?)
Dave Lamar is Mori's boyfriend! Usahay is Visayan Language from Visayas Region, Mori is from Cebu and Cebu is in Visayas Region (That is Mori's mother tongue / first language).
Yesss!!! Morissette is back on the channel.😊😘. Thank you for this Waleska & Efra❤❤. Next......! React to her rendition of "And I Am Telling You" ..or maybe her ORIGINAL SONG titled "Diamante" means (Diamond)...thanks in advance.😇😇.. Stay safe..😇 and more POWER to your channel guys.😘❤🇵🇭👈🏿...

Nice mash up. Most everyone will remember Moon River from the film, Breakfast at Tiffany's by Henry Mancini and his orchestra, sang by Audrey Hepburn. Morissette's version is quite refreshing. She is so versatile. She can sing the old standards and the new top 40 hits like a piece of cake. "Usahay" is a Cebuano love song which means "sometimes" in English. I love that she did two old classics to illustrate that tho she is very much a contemporary artist with a very relevant and timely style, she can throwback and strip back to a sound like singers of old. This is my first time hearing her sing in her native tongue, so timeless and pure (I almost wish she didn't belt and go modern toward the end).
Wow! Visayan Love song. BTW Not all places in the Philippines is hot or humid. In Baguio City and mountain province is so cold. It's also very cold in the mountainous areas of Cebu City where Mori lives.. it is foggy most of the time.😍

Hi Waleska! The second song "Usahay" (Sometimes) is a Bisaya song and actually an old song way back in 60's. It was written by Greg Labja who fell inlove with a young lady named Noemi. She is now 79 yrs old.
