I used a sod buster for 11 years it was only knife I had for a long time it's been retired for a long time I've had it for 48 years it is still in descent shape

I like the micarta scales. Not that crazy about the G10 liners. I’d like to see a version with brass liners too.

So case finally decided to do with sod busters what knife modders have been doing for years (myself included) and call it something new. While they look nice, I’ll just continue to buy the black or yellow handles and do it myself (and fix the always off centered blade). I can’t say all bad though. I bought the sea dragon sodbuster and was pleasantly surprised at the quality control put into those. Please focus on more your quality control.
They can’t even spell QC much less implement it
Iv been thinking about this for a few years now. And since case it wanting to jump into screwed together construction. I'll just say it. I'd love to see a case stockman with screwed together construction I don't care about to much of fancy material. Well mucarda would be nice I guess lol. Iv cared a case stockman every day for about 19 years now. Even tho this past year a victornox tinker has knocked it out. Kids and all its awful handy have to say. But a screwed together stockman would go right back in.
Definitely gotta get one i love this but i said it when they did the buffalo horn/s35vn traditionals and im gonna say it again do the folding hunter!! Id be jumping up and down all over it the folding hunter is what i carry its my work knife its my edc it does it all and more

I used to collect Case knives, but I finally broke myself from the addiction of collecting stuff just for the sake of collecting.
I moved on to collecting modern, more useful, more practical knives that belong in my pocket and not in a display box on the wall.
Hate to say it, but Case needs to stop relying on the past. I don't want to buy China made, but companies like Rosecraft are SO MUCH better than any modern Case knife. Don't be sheep demand quality.
Case needs to ditch the true crap (4116?) steel. They are moving into the current century, but are so slow to change. Cmon case, Kershaw kicks your ass in EVERY way. I place Case Knives as low as 2020 and newer Cold Steel trash on the knife buying chart. Buyer beware just go to budk instead of over paying Case to continue producing antiquated junk.
The sodbuster is actually a copy of the old opinel pocket knife #8. Opinel has the locking collar which is way better and lighter in weight.
Case is starting to lose their elegance. Halloween and Christmas knives are for kids. What they should have done is make a lockback sodbuster

"Green" and orange? Black and lime green? 🤮 Who's picking these colors? Maybe I'll check out the wood versions. Or just stick with the base model sod busters. Still hoping for a more economic version of the Bridgeline.

Lol are you trying to claim some random modder has a copyright on the use of...... green burlap micarta and orange color combo? A color combo nearly as common and popular as brown micarta and orange? Get real dude. Hell I put this same color combo on some of my own knives almost 10 years ago, does that mean I get to claim it's technically mine?
I am ashamed to have ever owned their knives. I had several mods in process that I just threw in the trash. I’d rather give up the community than be associated with them. I was having S60V blades made to replace stock ones but why bother? Case will just do the same thing in a year then get some shitty Bladeshow award for innovation. Unfortunately for Case I am leaving the community so you will need to get some other sucker to do your R&D work.
