In India on Buying a car itself we are paying double price with all the taxes, now buying a CBU is even worse for a 25 lakh rupee car we end up paying 70+ lakhs on road . 😂
I don't get it with the prices and tax from the govt, instead of getting this for 65 lakh people will undoubtedly get something like the 330lwb or the 340i by paying a bit more. Rest the car is really good but taxes are shit.
@@vivekrameshjoisbut the purpose of the beast’s or not practicality. Just drivability enjoying the performance. For sure 340i M sport will definitely deliver the power and performance with its xdrive technology that car is a beast in its segment. Even as a CBU if it’s cost somewhere near 40 -45 I’m planning to exchange my Virtus gt with this. If it’s beyond 50 - 55 or 65lakh then it’s better going for 340i. Let’s hope it will price somewhere near 40 - 45 lakh onroad. Because at that price point there’s no cars in India that powerful.
@@abhishekvlog4254 they’re apples and oranges. Octi should be compared to a 5 series not a 3 series. Tested the 340i n for all the fun and noise its ground clearance was terribly low and couldn’t get it out of my basement. No problem with the Octi.
Really exicted to see this on Indian roads. That lime green colour is looking absolutely gorgeous. Looks are great, power is great and if the price would have been better then it would have been the best car to buy.
Even as a CBU Unit let be around on the road like 40 - 45L still there’s no such car in Indian market at that price point. And I know the resale value of this cars will skyrocket once they stop producing it. Definitely this thing will be a asset 😂
Skoda's sales percentage crashed by 95% in China. Their parent, VW, is on steroids, almost closing down many of their showrooms and factories in China, and was almost on the verge of closing down two of their manufacturing facilities in Germany. With this kind of exorbitant price, is there a future for the VW group?
Skoda itself thinks not to sell car's in huge numbers Kushaq - minimum features with congested back seat Octavia VRS - CBU units attracts high taxation Superb - priced very high people will think buy merc Audi BMW
Indeed its quite exciting to know that the all new facelifted Skoda RS is coming to India and I absolutely love the lime green colour and those sporty seats with red stitching!, It will definitely be on the list of all petrol heads!👍
Watching it from Netherlands. This car costs 42500euros here without options. With a metallic paint and non-basic alloy design it is 44000 euros.. thats almost 40lakh.. so from the speculated improt price, doesnt seem too bad..
@@shan25873 what do you mean by a league above? The power is slightly higher but since Camry is a hybrid it might just do better in drag races due to power from Electroc motor. Comfort and luxury also doesnt seem to be drastically better in VRS. The only think you can say is Camry is a premium sedan while VRS is more of a sporty one. So how is this VRS a league above? And how will the price be justified against Camry (assuming that VRS will be more expensive on road)?
@@jackjames3315 where does comfort comes into this picture. Octavia Rs is a proper sports sedan, which has so much potential to be tunned and you can literally extract upto 500 hp from 2 L tsi engine. Can your camry do that? Camry is not a sports sedan, it offers luxury.. that's is it's usp.
I feel the RS has lost the plot. It was supposed to be the affordable performance sedan for the masses - today it costs almost as much as a year old 330i - which handles as good if not better and makes more power. And both are tuneable. Why would I waste my money on the Skoda?
Why do we pay through our noses for cars in this country? There's a reason why there are more and more luxury cars in the market and very few hatchbacks or mid sized sedans.
Again showing how unimportant the Indian market really is for skoda... After all the talk of the skoda 2.0 strategy, they want to import (cbu or ckd) form for Octavia, Octavia rs, superb etc. These cars can and must be manufactured in India. The production capabilities are definitely there only intend is missing......
This is only for people with either Mad money or black money .... nothing for middle class depressed earning people except tin cans like maruti and hundai or 3nd hand cars . Thank you indian govt for filling your own pockets and running your govt canteens for MP MLAs and keeping middle class deprived of aspirational wheels . Hope this govt finds more new ways to tax middle class of india .
I really want Skoda to be able to sell Octavias, but it's just so overpriced. I mean, every car is overpriced and on top of that taxes and stuff furthur make it less affordable. Previous gen City, Vento,Rapid, etc. were significantly cheaper. All of them just jumped up an entire price segment for absolutely no reason.
Just like Kushaq if Skoda launches cheaper versions Octavia and Kodiaq then people will definitely consider them. I own Kushaq for 3 years and quality of materials used is not that bad.
In pakistan hyundai has launched sonata n with 300 plus horsepower in 50 Lakh Indian rupees and this is not acceptable if skoda launches octavia vrs in 50 lakh ex showroom.

ND that too for a skoda 😂😂
And even after paying hefty taxes, the roads we get🤡
Ag andha namazi 😂😂😂
New india😂😂 so more tax
Depreciating "toilet paper" INR and Govt's voracious hunger for taxes will kill any CBU except for those with rather deep pockets...
Well said buddy.....
INR will keep on depreciating as long as long as we aren't trade surplus, Low Taxes wont help either

Depreciating rupee is actually good for economy (as long as it doesn't starts to collapse)
Taxes however are 💩
