The only game that’s ever done season pass right was deep rock galactic what they did was make each season free but dropped a supporter pack to buy on that season with no time limit so no fomo, and the seasons never go away you can replay past seasons to get all the gear and stuff in game

Tbf deep rock is the best game for monetization ever so if sm2 comes even *close* that'll be an achievement.

Edit: I also remember that there was a new addition trailer of the ultramarines fighting tyranids. Were they not primaris? and if they were then there is a terminator shown from the reinforcement call or whatever it was.

I miss the good old days, when "money for developers" simply came through making a good game, and SELLING THE DAMNED GAME ONCE IN FULL AND NOT IN PARTS.
Oh yeah, the good old days of playing only in peer to peer with the worst lag ever because the host of the match is on the other side of the planet and games that nearly never got patched because spending more development time on an already finished product was literally making the studios lose money. Stop looking at the past with rose tinted glasses, old multiplayer game had far worse problems than "oh no, I can't get my shiny weapon skin without spending 10 bucks"
@wakito64 yeah no, we took a step forward with dedicated servers and better connection but two steps back in game quality. Sorry id rather play a completed fun game with no to minor monetization or atleast monetization that don't affect my experience to enjoy the game.
i think it was wierd wording when they said no ingame store and all dlc will be cosmetic. Like doesnt that just mean the cosmetic store will be on the steam page?

Similar to deep rock galactic and any other game that has cosmetic DLC. Keyword DLC, there will not be an item shop. Any skins in the dlc window will be there forever and should only cost 1-2 dollars for each.

@@RedEyedWolfTV i prefer knowing what I’m paying for instead of forking cash upfront for no reason. Season pass is a preorder for content that doesn’t even exist yet, not even conceived, you might get two and a half lousy dlc for all you know.
Wow, If extra mission content will be free, I am proud they have done that. I think it should attract more consumers and increase popularity. It also indicates a lack of greed, since they are well aware W40K has a cult following they could take advantage of and suck dry of money. A vampire like EA would, thank the Emperor it is Saber and Focus, not a company like EA making this. I will be happy to support this game by purchasing many if not all the cosmetics they put out. Thanks for the information as well Valrak, glad I've found a content creator to keep me updated on the game before it comes out. This will be my go too game when it releases.

Has anyone else noticed how all the termagaunts are swarming during the gameplay footage. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Saber Interactive has transferred and implemented the horde engine they made for World War Z into SM2. If that's the case, the hordes are going to be absolutely legendary!

What I’m most interested to learn is how the Chaos characters in multiplayer will function with the classes. They don’t have Phobos or Gravis armor or most Primaris weapons so how will they work with the class system?
Obviously mirrored, with chaos magicks as an excuse, lore will never trump gameplay in multiplayer.
The first game featured Chaos equivalents like Havocs, Raptors, and even a Chaos Dreadnought in the “Dreadnought Assault” mode -
Given that we’ve seen the space marine classes featured in multiplayer specifically, for balance purposes, it would have to be equivalent. Probably Chaos “Chosen” with shields and melee (axes or mauls?), and some kind of lighter marine or cultist as a reviver equivalent - it will

remember people; NO BLOODY PRE-ORDERING. CANCEL IF YOU HAVE. Or, be prepared to be stung and "I told you so". The pre-order bonus is 100% always sold later on, its not worth it. play the game when it releases, wait for reviews, and stop throwing money at things you don't yet own. If you want to "support" the developers, you can do it when you know they have done a good job. Stop retroactively rewarding failure.
when customizing our space marine for co-op/PVE, do we know whether we will get to use chaos space marine pieces as well? i'd love to use the Khorne themed Chaos space marine armor
Khorne Berzerks are there as well as Plague Marines and many others, no confirmation on customizing them (I don't believe) but there's a reddit thread of people saying there will be in-depth customization for them as well, and apparently in a trailer there is a purple plague marine so its looking good.
Hopefully the Season Pass doesn't disappear after a set date. That aside from people grinding having more perks and therefore being stronger at launch is my only concern.

as long as the cosmetics in the pass dont have bonuses and are just visual additions this is a better way of keeping the fanbase together in game instead of gating players in matchmaking based on owned dlc or not.

The build he was playing was almost certainly not a beta version. They always have press release stuff and then do a couple more patches then you get beta
My biggest issue with pre--orders is that it excuses the mindset of releasing games half-baked, since the higher ups already have the money and the numbers.
Once I see reviews (actual full reviews) ill probably preorder it lol. Also will get a Season Pass if I like what is in it. Super stoked, if its good ill get everything for it eventually.

I really hope the season pass won’t be a limited time only (you have to level up before it’s too late) I hope you can level each season that you couldn’t play before just like the seasons in halo master chief collection or the helldivers 2 warbands.
I think people are misconstruing Season Passes with Battle Passes. A Season Pass usually includes all DLC within a whole season in a one time/usually more monetarily viable purchase, however I feel as though buying one without having that whole season's content out to gauge the price and quality of said content is a bit of a gamble, especially since this is a whole new game with nothing previous to show for it.
Not that I'm talking down about SM2, I'm going to make it one of my rare pre-order gambles for sure, I'm just speaking logically. My hope for it is that you get a healthy all encompassing collection of cosmetics for the chapters you want to have cosmetics for.
Hopefully, we get to see some Salamanders cosmetics soon
i love salamanders for their master crafted ornate look, after al theyre all blacksmiths, hate it when we just get a bog standard marine but green, takes all the personality away

One of the only products these days that still excites me! Sticking to what makes warhammer cool and if they keep it up the fans will make sure their game is successful!
One thing I would love is if the Season Passes are done like Halo Infinite:

it's not a battlepass. The season pass just releases everything at once when the date of release comes.
I did the red edition w/e that is I’m excited but have a bit of trepidation I’m looking at what I assume is a 12-16 hr campaign with an additional 8 from co op mode and infinite for pvp with additional pve co op coming via season pass to add more smurfs v chaos missions

Vakrack, you need to see the 12 man mission they made for the end of the Dark vs Light Saga in Destiny 2. Makes me wish they added something like that for SM2.
i theorize and if val could read this id appreciate it-
i think the base game wiil have all the cannon chapters and fan favorite heraldry as options, and then have a few armor sets that can go with any legion like a giant golden eagle pauldron or something of the like that will be the typew of armor you can unlock freely. But i think something like a giant golden angel pauldron with a diamond bedazzled blood drop and other chapter speciific armors like the salamnders dragon skull will be the type of armors we see in the pass. like a Raven guard themed pass or something of the like.
also val i really hope you read this part cause i feel it is a valid question-
are the chaos armors for pvp going to be cheaper than the loyalist armors?? considering you only use them in 1 mode and the loyalist armors you will use in 2 modes. unless they plan for chaos sided co-op missions WHICH WOULD BE FUCKING DOPE, IMAGINE RIPPING YOUR WAY THROUGH A IMPERIAL GUARD BUNKER!! but seriously it is something they could do because you could still fight termanids, and then have guard and loyal marines take the place of the chaos marines we see in the regular co-op as enemies. The potential for future mission types on both chaos and loyalist is insane. and new enemies in general. Necrons update pack for co-op missions?? I THINK YES

Guys, don't pre-order. I know the trailers look good, and we've been waiting for a long time, but we don't k ow the specs yet, we haven't gotten a proper gameplay reveal, yet they try to upsell us a paid season pass and basically a payed 4 day long open beta, we can wait. Check for performance and gameplay before you buy.

Well they've released multiple 15 minute clips and cutscenes idk if you want them to just release the game 2 months early but they've showed a pretty good amount fo 87 days away. You don't start showing major gameplay until the game is around the corner

Honestly, they can make a SeasonPass, with a free and a paid option. They are welcome to sell cosmetics, and later new classes or larger addons. And in a few months, even an experience boost or something. It's just important to me not to feel like I've ended up with blizzard. No desire to pay 120,000€ for a good character ^^

A heavy bolter without the ammo pack on the back just looks so weird. Like...where are all those rounds coming from?
This Heavy bolter has a 200rnd drum magazine. It’s the same with what’s on the new Sternguard minis.
Drum mag, the heavy marine in the multiplayer has the backpack and the cable/belt. Probably gives em a BUNCH more ammo than measly 200
There are so many battle passes in Every fucking game! It’s like a damn job, can we not have no more… cosmetics or not your still buying those cosmetics as your paying a bp, and not to mention you have to work to earn them with a limited time…
Tbh not knowing the minimum pc specs is the only thing stopping me from preordering. I've got a 2060ti but this game looks like it might need a 3080 lol really hope they've optimized it and not made it so good no one can play it without an insane gpu
