I love the atmosphere of the tube.. There is nothing quite like it.

I've heard of the Bakerloo line passenger... Apparently you are supposed to see the reflection of someone sitting next to you when in reality the seat is empty.

My mum sat on a late tube spaced out and tired after seeing realtives off at Heathrow airport.
The last train sat at the Elephant bakerloo line and then made its way off into a siding tunnel for cleaning. All lights off my mum walked up the line alone and back on to the closed e&c platform.
She was greeted by a stranger
Who helped her up the stairs and out of the station.
    This would be early 1970s.
Upon arriving home she was in a state of shock and claimed a super natural experience with the stranger.
    Family story 😂

I love the tube in London when I go for a few days holiday, but when I was at Baker Street tube and I was the only one at the platform's, it was really creepy being on my own. Thought I could sense someone down the tunnel

These trains travel under a two thousand year old city. There's bound to be goings on down there. Very nice video. Thankyou.

You're absolutely right. Also before that light there's another light at 3m 48s that flashes from left to right on top of the staircase.

Oh, yes, there is certainly some strange activity caught in this video. London underground has plenty of potential for spookiness, that's for sure. Mind you, I haven't used London Underground for a long time.

When I was in my own in the carriage , most of the time, the lights went out just as I approached Elephant and Castle tube station. It can be eerie. The worst station for me is Essex Road station, which used to be on the Northern Line , and closed down soon after the Moorgate Crash at one end of the line. I have a video of Essex Road on my channel if you want to see, and you will notice it is deadly quiet and no posters , etc , and you will be able to tell it used to be a tube station

So when does this Witness Statement supposedly date from? The phrase "six of the evening" suggests pre-1950 but then the phrase "London Underground" presents a puzzle. London Underground did not become an independent entity until April 1985. Prior to that, the Underground was simply a part of London Transport with little individual identity. I know two elderly people who worked as Underground ticket collectors and they always considered themselves as employees of London Transport. It would be reasonable to describe oneself as an employee of London Transport working on the Underground. However the capitalized phrase "London Underground" is very much a modern phenomenon despite the network itself dating back 155 years.
