    Thank you for the useful vocabulary lesson. It may look easy when we read those words in sentences but it isn't easy when we want to use them quickly in speaking.

    Hello Benjamin, you have a fantastic channel. I particular like the way you pronounce words and of course your explanations. Crystal clear. ✔ Thank you.
    My example sentence; when the British Rail decided to decentralize its operations and administrations, private companies responsible to run the British train services have to resize their offices. In this respect the information unit has to update the public society of changes in fares as well as times of departures and arrivals.

      Good but not perfect - no 'the' before British Rail; private companies took over responsibility for running rail services. etc etc.

      I'm rewriting it;
      When British rail decided to decentralize its operations and administrations, private companies took over responsibility for running rail services and accordingly update the public about fares and new timetables.

    Hi Benjamin. Thank you for share this topic with us. I'm working for a Company in the IT department. Is very common to use the word "update" in our e-mails. The employees use that word when they need to know about the status of a problem that was reported to us. For example they say: "We haven't received any reply about our incident. Any update?"

      About the word resize, I use it sometimes in my job. For example when a field of a file cannot keep a data because its size, I need to resize the lenght of the field, now longer data can be stored in that field.

    • @engvidBenjamin
      @engvidBenjamin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Manuel - definitely good to be able to use resize and update.
