IMO, Angelina sings this song considerably above and beyond Adele's version. Angelina adds emotion into this song in scoopfuls, beyond Adele's rendition.

If you want upbeat look for her live cover of Etta James' Somethings gotta a hold on me with the gospel choir backing up. She was only 11 years old but the crowd loved it. You will be blown away and you can see Angelina is having fun.

I prefer this version over Adele´s actually. When I heard Adele´s version after Angelina´s, I found the next verse of the song a bit weird, it wasn´t "floating" (I´m Norwegian, so I don´t know how else to explain it). It sounded like it didn´t fit with the song. I actually prefer Angelina over Adele in her other covers too, Angelina´s voice is much richer.
I totally agree with you. When I heard the full version by Adele, I found that last verse weid, like it didn't belong to the song with awkwardly chosen words.
Being Norwegian has nothing to do with it. Angelina is amazing, and belongs to the world. Her only claim to being Norwegian is only being born there.

Angelina has created a wonderful soft and sweet atmosphere, it's only she, her voice that fills all the spaces of the imagination, her elegance and a low musical background and she, quietly. She has the ability to read the songs in an incredible way and she don't need of big shows, just a simple piano or guitar is enough for she to do the magic.😊 ❤️

YES!! Above The Water is not given the recognition it deserves. This is a great song, and shows there is still no genre that Angelina isn't able to own.
Gary, I ALWAYS view the original video when another person uses in in their own video (similarly, I ALWAYS view and listen to the original songs that Angelina covers). To me, viewing all forms of creatively produced music and video is not a zero-sum game.

I wouldn't classify "I'm still holding out for you" as upbeat. One of her best, absolutely. Really quite sad.

There is no sound for the first few seconds until she gets to the microphone. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I do.

I'm a huge Adele fan she is lovely amd so talented
But ya there is definitely something about Angelina that no one else can compare. She draws you in every single time. My heart melts when I hear her sing. Her voice amd her sheer presence is captivating and angelic beyond compare. I must say I prefer Angelina's version so much more. It just has a softness and almost like a gentle whisper to it. And I find it pulls at my heart strings so much more. Her airy breathy moments and her powerhouse moments too. Ahh still very powerful but understated at the same time. She just draws me in and I can't lie I cry every time I hear this girl. I feel overwhelmed somehow amd like.you...don't want it to end!! She is truly a God-given gift to our world. Her gentle voice her stunning beauty and her kind generous and loving heart. We are not worthy ...haha truly a little bit of heaven here on earth!!

From a small village in Norway, to Global stardom all by the tender age of 8
Angelina Jordan was one and a half years old when she discovered TH-cam after hearing and falling in love with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” a few months earlier. Incredibly, this little girl eventually taught herself to type the first four letters of that song into TH-cam so she could listen to her favorite track over and over.
It wasn’t long before she began singing along with Whitney that her family discovered Angelina's pure vocal talent. Months passed and Angelina’s interest expanded as she discovered jazz and crooners like Frank Sinatra and Diana Washington, til finally Billie Holiday stole her heart solidifying Angelina's passion for singing.
On weekends Angelina honed her talent by performing to family. In 2014, at the ripe age of 8, Angelina felt ready for a bigger audience. "Ooohh that's different". Angelina owns this song after this performance. It used to be Adele's song, but no more. Sitting on the stage and belting this out like it's no more of a task than breathing. Yeah, I know the feeling of not wanting it to end, I seriously believe I have listened to this at least 400 times since she released it, and before that, I had never heard it.

You should react to her cover of Rihanna's Love On The Brain. The black and white one where she is playing the piano. She is just practicing the song, so it's dry (little to no post production effects), but it's her most intimate performance. Heart wrenching.

Welcome back Megan and congrats on 10k subs. Many thanks to Adele for writing such beautiful songs for Angelina to make better. Personally, Adele's voice was rarely pleasing to my ears, while Angelina's voice is the warmest, most welcoming, emotional voice I have ever heard. Adding in Angelina's natural talent to arrange songs and be the boss in the studio and we have to admit, she is not a once in a generation artist but a once in forever musical artist.
For more upbeat definitely try her recent original 7th heaven. That is one where I actually prefer the studio over the live because I don't really care for the backup singer that much. Also definitely her cover of Amy winehouse's Valerie. I'm sure people will name others.
