This is hands down the absolute best tutorial on using textures. I've used these techniques in my artwork and the effect is amazing. It's useful for more than just comics.

Thank you so much for posting this! It's been a real eye-opener for me - in fact I had been reading reMIND enviously, thinking "I'll never be able to have such awesome textures in my work." This method is SO cool because it allows you to work in analog media, both when inking and colouring - but still uses all the advantages and time-saving of working digitally. You mention a next video where you explain how you added lighting to this page; I can't seem to find it on the channel. If it's already online, could you point me towards it?

Do you know if this technique works with any other program besides photoshop? I tried to do it on procreate but I couldn't get the same effect. Maybe it would work with CSP? 🤷♀️
so I have tried ceaselessly to give this a shot but i cannot seem to get the texture to get into the project file... everything I'm doing looks like what your doing but when I hold down command and try to get it on to the file it ps won't let me... any ideas how to fix this?

Are your textures on top of the color? And under the lines? Are you using an old Photoshop maybe?
Does anyone know if you can use textures this same way in Manga Studio (aka Clip Studio Paint)?
