Please people who love General Kollington Ayinla, please how can we fight for his MFR (National honour). People on politics are just too biased for not giving this man the honour he deserves
You are so correct. Many of his albums can give the younger ones the genesis of our struggle as nation. Austerity Measure. Operation feed the nation. Workers strike, Peoples Bank. Mass mobilization . OMIYALE/IBADAN. .NET FIRE. are some of his current affairs songs . He deserved the national honor more than K1 ULTIMATE in my own opinion. But politics stood in the way.
I think the issue of getting National Award is based on recommendation by the governor of his home state, and over the years, he is not aligned with the conservative party governing his state. I think this is the major obstacle to getting his National honour.
There is nothing like national honor his widely recognized don't bother with national honor, the national honor that Gain Fawehinmi rejected when he was alive.
You hardly hear good music on our radio stations again except few stations. The Yoruba nation is fast losing track of her identity due to negative acceptance of modernization by the younger ones. E je ka t'oju Teacher, Eto Idibo etc are songs that radio stations actions should have to remind us of the sacredness of certain ethos in our society. May God help Yoruba nation.
This is one of the graetest music of all time in Nigeria. Baba please keep up with your good music. EgbaAlake please can you post some of Chief Micho Ade (sunny Ibadan) music. The man is one of the great musician.
You’re so right! Kola played pure classical fuji in the 80s. He deviated in the 90s. I love his brand of Fuji but I lost it with him in the 90. I still love him as a person. I’ll rather listen his classic. He introduced bata to fuji
