Haji Kollington Ayinla is certainly the best Fuji Muscian ever. God bless him abundantly. No Fuji Muscian come close to Haji Kollington in terms of talent and fast tempo
When it comes to instrumental in Fuji music , no one get closer to Kollington Ayinla. Great respect to Kollington and Late Barrister for their contributions to the music of Nigeria
Alhaji Kollington Ayinla today May 12, 2023 I acknowledge your good work in Nigeria music industry and for your good, evergreen and brilliant fuji music for ọmọ Yorùbá nílé loko. You continue to live longer baba kébe nKwara .
This great NIGERIANS have contributed greatly to Africa music and cultural values. May GOD rewards them mighty. They came to this world at the right time.
I grew up listen to this music, one of my dad tenants was a die hard fan of Alatika song,he always played kollington records and grew up liken his music. Thanks for the internet,I stilli listens to baba music everyday especially on my long drive to work here in canada here. This particularl one is my favorite snd the series of megastar, ropopo, arewa, ijo yoyo and co
Based on my opinion, It's due to so much effort, dedication, and high level of lyrical research that they inject to their work then. due to hyper competition among musicians in the 70's
I think the musician sings base on the people's want.. And there are more good people in the olden days while bad people has occupied the society today
Society evolves and so do the artist response to it. The best of artist are those who are able to strategically respond to the changing demands and still remain relevant. The world had moved to a faster tempo since the early 90s and you could see that from his output then. At a point Barrister was losing followership bcos he refused to evolve until he made the song that "toba sepe saje lo láyé, eje kajo máa ko..." He too had to respond otherwise the new breeds would drive them out. Apart from that with age comes some change in vocals. We can't have it so sweet forever but one thing is clear, Killington's transition and voice is forever unique to him. No one like him.
Kebe n Kwara has always stood distinct right form the 70s. His genre of fuji stands out and had gone through many social, group and individual bashings. But like it or not...Ayinla is different Ayinde was unique...now KWAM1 is adding to the flavour with another sensation. Great Yoruba musicians.
I am listening to Ayinla kollington and it seems he is as good as his late friend Mr Ayinde Barrister (RIP). Both are superb and I am enjoy this Fuji music in 2019. What a talent and great Yoruba musician.
