thanks man i really needed this video. do you know what the name is of that socket? i am looking at making my own boards :) my first preamp board really. something nice with a lithium battery & such. still investigating further. im gonna check out your products they look neat :)
Thank you for your interest . Yes the main goal was to easily relocate that big black hockey puck and to make any installation of our products reversible . To be able to put guitar back to stock by replacing the cheap original metal jack plate or plastic pickguard or tear back plastic cover . Other benefits: 1) no more dangling short guitar cable from guitar to puck 2) without the puck , you can use a hard shell case again . 3) our products use modern state of the art , super low noise electronics . For noiseless guitar and for Pitch z detection by GR-55 required for PCM orchestral patches . 4) we added extra two momentary switches . For pulse muting guitar and another for pulse muting Synth. 5) we added a 2’nd 3 position switch . This allows a player to Mute low E and or A strings . Super valuable when pitch detection is used for PCM patches in GR-55 . When playing it is almost impossible hand/palm mute lower strings . And this causes erroneous notes , harmonics to trigger false weird sounds . 6) the LED is upgraded from single red color which indicates “‘pier to unit “, to a functional 2, color LED . If the normal GK switch is muting guitar or Synth , the LED will be Blue. If I’ve is muting low E &/or A string , the LED will be Red. If both Mute switches are muting , LED will be Pink . I hope this is helpful . We are two guys just trying to make a positive difference . Please visit our web site . www.hex-fx.org
