Thank you! Just trying to share the knowledge, but the chords can get confusing because of how many angles you can look at them from. Did you watch my first video on music theory? Some really good info in there about how the scales function and how that then leads to chords

@@phillipmorin1650 yes I have, I do understand the concept of scale to some extent. I will still take my time to practice with a piano, because I'm a late beginner almost intermediate in piano.

Thanks again, second time watchinng this and now watching the little details. I wished I had watched your You Tube Channel in the early 1960s. I might have paid more attention in music class and choir practice....but let's not talk about my voice. Choir was mandatory until 2nd year of Secondary School. But from 3rd Primary on, the Professor told me to move my lips and not make a sound.

Actually I think that it is good that someone has a basic knowledge of music theory since you really go fast. But you go fast in a logical way that I haven't had anyone explain before.
I started piano at 65 years of age after working as a Chiropractor. Actually, I had to modify my techniques decades ago due to a shoulder injury. In fact, I live with a FURS. But that helped me open up a whole new category of patients. (Most Chiropractors treat triads, but I learned to add sevenths and even upper extensions)
And I learned many techniques for the shoulders and hands. I will have a video for exercises for the pianists for low back, as well as many exercises and self treatments for the shoulder, arm and hand. Especially useful for strength in that pesky fifth finger.
Just asking, but do you play another instrument as your main axe? I just noticed that your missed some notes with the fourth and fifth. I'm not criticizing, just observing. Your videos are great since you get right to the point.

Hey Lawrence, yea I do go pretty fast with these videos but like you said that’s because I’m trying to get to the point. There’s so much information and so many ways to look at music theory that I think a lot of people get lost when you try to introduce to many concepts, at least I did.
And I’ve been playing piano since I was a kid but never really worked on it, it’s just a tool for writing music and understanding theory. My main axe is the saxophone, though I do play most of the woodwinds. I’ve been playing professionally for about a dozen years in New Orleans.
