You are lucky! I think mine were damaged because of the severity of the wind (60mph) and the sudden temp drop (over 50F drop in a few hours). But they made it through and are very resilient now. Did your other plants make it ok?
@HoustonGardeningNovice yes they made it ok. I realized after writing the comment you are in Houston i am in Pearland. There is not a lot of Houston gardeners with TH-cam channels. I will follow you.
Thankfully I live in the tropics no plant dies in winter
We have a subtropical climate, but once in a while we get hard winter freezes that some of our plants cant handle 😂

They grow so fast! How wide is the widest?
Yes, they do! They always seem to get to about 5ft wide and 6ft high before the major pruning.
