First proper video so please bare with me! I decided to do a video of the Polo gti vs the Golf gti as there is a lot of speculation as to which one is faster. Nothing to serious just a starting point for whats to come!

I'd rather the Polo (because I have one).

You got it wrong,
In the first "Test" on the minute 2:10, the Polo is alredy braking and you show the finish line after that with Golf ahead of the Polo.
I Know the two cars very well and in that type of short run the Golf have no chance for the litle Polo.
I picked up that as-well, polo brakes before the finish line. It was in front at 70% of the stretch.
Nice video dude. I got the Polo as it's a lot of extra wonga for the Golf GTi when all you really get is a bit more boot space. They are both as fast as each other and the Polo is actually closer to an original Golf GTi than the Golf is. There is the added bonus that Polo GTi's are far less common nowadays. Here's to hoping the rumours of a Polo ClubSport being released are true.

Polo has far less weight, and the manual version has crazy torque. Also smaller turbo comes on a lot quicker. Short runs like this Polo should win every time.
Love the look of this polo gti, new polo gti isn’t horrible 😔🙄

Wtf this guy really said the golf won by quite a bit but wasn’t even a full car length then second time polo smashed the gold by about it’s own and another car length and doesn’t mention it? Great so biased from the start 🙄
Not only do you won't parking sensors you need parking sensors.
Less is more and vw is even charging for it ;-)
I have now the Polo GTI with a ABT Chiptuning (230BHP) and o boy o boy :D i recommend everyone to buy one
How much did you pay for it and where did u buy it? I've been wanting one of those ever since I heard of it :D
I bought the "normal" Polo GTI at the VW dealership and also let them install the ABT Tuning. At all i paid 2700$ (2550 CHF) for the tuning
project MP Hi m8 I also have the manual gti and was wanting it mapped as in have never had a chipped car but doesn't it fuck up the warranty? What about insurance a aswell? would you recommend getting it?
Hey! the car has to be mapped because it has so much potential.
I don't know how it is in your country but here in Switzerland if a tuner map your car you will lose your warranty Thats why i took ABT because they work with VW and their mapping is under VW warranty My insurance increased because i have more BHP but not very much.
I had a stage one oettinger tune and it pulled 265bhp.
My Polo TSI from 2014 has cruise control
Tsi is a nice car but the new one is better
My golf 5 from 2005 has cruise control lool
Golf 5 is not a bad car but I thick the polo gti is better

I’m 18 getting my first car soon but options are so limited if I lived in America or Germany it would be a different story

It’s lighter and more agile whilst almost as powerful. Some people want exactly that.

REAL TORQUE yes! Why is the Polo yellow?? Also fix your review! You had an awesome chance to compare these two. But instead you did a shitty bit just reading specs, 2 drag races where they tie and you don't even break it... absolutely stupid

I second that, also take a look at your microphone. Almost everything you said was pretty over exaggerated and sounded horrible... But overall it was a great video, good editing and minus the off white balance - it was very well filmed!

Polo is the one that won by a big margin…why are you biased? 😂 This video is soo biased from the get go! “When you’re driving a polo Gti you know it’s a polo” well doesn’t that apply to the golf also 🥲
