I really like the way you captured angles, especially since you used flat colors, I feel like it would be harder to pull off, but I can clearly tell the angles the camera is at and love the unique shots not often seen in these fan animations.
"West and the Bolsheviks fought to stop the spread of communism but they failed" I guess the Bolsheviks weren't really loyal marxists so that makes some sense that they tried to stop true communism. But remember true communism is the friends we made along the way. Or something. Edit: actually the Kronstadt sailors were kind of an example of this. They were considered an exalted fighting arm of communism but when they came back to the mainland and saw what the Bolsheviks had done to russia and common people they turned against the bolsheviks. Someone should really make a movie about them! Someone should definitely make a movie or series about the russian revolution in general. And make sure to portray people correctly. Lenin for example was very arrogant. But not completely unsympathetic. And of father Georgy Gapon who led a completely peaceful protest that with the intent "To deliver a petition to Tsar Nicholas II, calling for reforms such as: limitations on state officials' power, improvements to working conditions and hours, and the introduction of a national parliament" But they got shot at and the lives of innocent people were ended. Father Gapon completely lost his faith in Russia and the Tsar because of it. And the sad thing is that the Tzar himself who was out of town at the time thought the event was pretty horrible as well. The directors of such a series or film could make a point of how most of the competing characters in this story aren't evil but just trapped in a system. The Tzar had really just ordered his guard to defend his property when he was gone. And when the protesters got to close the guard opened fire at them. He didn't intend for the tragedy to happen. But he was also proud and not willing to assent to their demands even if he was there. Russia was basically a medieval feudal state into the Industrial age. And the Tzar didn't want to change that. it was a stubborn unwillingness to reform that doomed Russia to Stalin in the end. Same with China. Lesson is, don't be too conservative because then eventually the most insane and cutthroat part of the political opposition will take hold.
You do an incredible job of putting so much personality into their expressions and tiny gestures. It'd be easy enough to just have them be still as they spoke but you always seem to go the extra mile. Well done!
