    I had no idea you can fold three ways using the same pattern.
    Thank you for sharing. It was helpful to me
    EDIT:
    I wonder if the one where the folds go half way (left side on your shelf), if you can just fold it halfway instead of listeining to the pattern for the leaf? Have I understood correctly?

    That's so beautiful. I was trying to find something special to give as gift to my dad and brother and now I've no doubt I found the right and cheap present.
    Just two questions, please. Where can I get this heart template to follow the steps and how many pages I will use to do the hearts. With this information I will be able to calculate how many pages I need to leave in the start and in the end to have the heart exactly in the middle. Thank you very much.

    I'm getting myself very confused. I understand the markers and how to fold but how do you start folding the first pages, can't see how it's started in the video or instructions I've printed! And watching you start it with the heart pattern torn from the beginning is confusing me also. I'm easily confused it seems.. Help! Thanks

    Your page says that these patterns are for books of 320, 387 & 407 pages. What if your book is larger still? Do you recommend buying a different book or are there considerations for this. I want to make one for my girlfriend for her birthday and she is a huge fan of Martina Cole, so I thought one of these books, "The Family" would have more meaning. Unfortunately, the book is just shy of 500 pages. Before I buy your template (which I will do anyway) I would like to know if I need to find another book. Thanks!

    +DIYMarta I'm confused, I downloaded the pattern from etsy and it says it requires 320 pages, bu there aren't 320 lines on the template. How does this work, ?

    • @Diymarta
      @Diymarta  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andrew Mistele The 320 refers to numbered pages. There are 160 stripes which equal 160 sheets of paper which equal 320 numbered pages (each sheet in a book has 2 numbers)

      If I wrote a book, I would be totally ok with it. After all, she spent money for a copy. Also if it is a favorite, why not buy 2? One for reading, another for beautiful art to display and remind you? Supports the author, publisher, bookstores. Used bookstores can surely use the help. I think it's wonderful art AND supports the community!

      Ikr. I know its art, but I care for my books. The thought of making it into something is cool, but you won't be able to read it without ruining the hearts. hearts And the more it folds, the more likely it going to tear. Itd be one thing if it was a $5 or less book, but it was hardback so it was probably $15 or more. Still liked the video. I once made a Christmas tree out of a magazine in girl scouts
