    Malietau Malietoa , (12 September 2017 Facebook)
"U can register customary land under the individual Sao like the critics have been saying all
along. I myself discovered last week that customary land that should be
registered to the Malietoa title is now registered to Malietoa
Tanumafili II. No other Malietoa in the future will be able to access
this land because there can never be another Malietoa Tanumafili II. If
there is another Tanumafili that holds the Malietoa title then he will
be Malietoa Tanumafili III and has no
right over land the Pule over which has been registered to Tanumafili
II. I have worked on the Customary land project on the side of the Govt
and ADB and this latest discovery is a major concern. I am now of the
view that our customary land is not safe. U lose ur customary land u
lose ur faasinomaga and once that is gone, ur as good as dead. Wake up
    Samoa, I JUST DID."

Mr. Tuilaepa, the ingenious people of Australia and New Zealand do not have 82% land ownership under the heading "Customary Land", Samoa does.

Keep fighting and preserve the cultural right to land ownership. Once it is lost, it is gone forever. Keep Samoan lands in Samoan hands.

Any family land/s owned by one matai/sa'o is a government effort to make it easier for them to deal with one person instead of 5 or more matai. If not careful enough, one day we will all find out that we are Chinese Samoa or every land is Chinese property. For instance, see what happened with Salelologa land when they gave it to the government for public used buy ended up owned by Tuilaepa and Faumuina. Great job PM! Vote for FAST to guarantee the safety and protection of our customary land.

Wow! History is repeating. During the 1800's Samoa battle against the Germans and French. Today it is China. Our Country is always the strongest when our livelihood is threatened. The sad fact is that it is our own government is selling us to the highest bidder. Our land is us! "Samoa mo Samoa". We, that are loyal to our Country feel the agony of betrayal. My ancestors were tortured, put in prison, gave their very lives to preserve our culture and heritage. My great-grandmother even wrote a book with proceeds to go towards gaining back our lands in the 1880's.
First our lands then our people. We will be just like Africa or better yet Hawaii! Slaves to GREED! $$$$$. Thanks a lot Government of Samoa.

These changes in Samoa are getting out of control & this administration should stop tapping into these collective families, villages & tittle affairs.
It was Western Samoa & now just Samoa 'cause "western" was added by foreigners...& now land reform? Give me a break, that's way too foreign, isn't?...& how about driving changes? What makes Samoa unique to the world is their "matai system" & the villiage matais should stand up & raise their concerns once & for all. Look @ Hawaii for example!

The Parliament and Head of State sold Samoa for an easy buck. Represent Samoa State of SIli. These Mayors or Faipule Nuu should also follow Sili for not registering. Its a shame that a lot of people have not seen this video. But it is a crisis and that why I think that they should just register the family name not a particular person. If The Parliament says it is simple then that should be simple enough.

A simple solution to this customary land issue is simply change the HRPP Administration in 2021 into the FAST-Faatuatua ile Atua Samoa ua Tasi Administration. Tuilaepa's government has gone too far to a point he ought to be impeached at once. Unfortunately, there is no impeachment clause in the Samoa Constitution which, of course, a loophole. We have to have an impeachment clause in our Constitution to simply remove anyone who is playing politics with our customary land. One day we wake up in the morning we are owned by President Xi Jinping. Fonoia FA. Peters

Who instigated this law about "Registration Of Customary Land". The Samoa govenrment doesn't speak for me or my fanau (family). Our land was handed down by my forefathers. THE LAW OF OF THE LAND supersede any subsequent laws. Remember the MAU, Remember the people that were shot by the NZ police?. WE became independent because of that shit. Are we going to go through that again?. We own Samoa not some foreign country, Too much corruption. No amount of praying will weed out the transgressors because they hide behind legislation created by parliament to protect themselves if and when the shit hits the fan. You all know what to do. I urge all the of Samoa that this proposed law will be illegal in it's infancy . Our lands will not be subjected to any reform by the government to subjugate our will. God Bless Samoa

No one owns any lands but what God has given us we must take good care and allow others to take part in sharing in good judgement without any prejudices accept that the chiefs in the village must not force anyone's decision in each family of giving their lands to anyone else in good faith without the whole family being in agreement if its a family owned

My mother from samoa my dad from tonga, I visited my family in samoa many times, whenever we talked about family land, i get so confused, I grew in Tonga and sort of understand how we related to land ownership, the land is always pass down to the elders son, the standard land size is 8 acres, if that family have a large land then it divided among the brothers in the family, and individually they own that land, and no one in the family have a right to say what to do in their land, when the owner pass away, his wife and children own the land, no family interference, no fighting, everyone knows their place. I recently lose a love one because of the power struggle to the matai title that entitled that person's rights to run the family, samoa is a lot bigger then tonga, the land mass would allow Samoan to have their own and run their own life and family, the matai system is sort of backward and sometimes a burdensome system, you may asked, what happened to the other brothers in the tongan family that doesn't have land, in the Tongan mentality, your land is in your head, King Tupou Uluaki knew that, that is why Tongan focus on education, to ensure the future of his people, his kingdom family, I believe if Tonga were to have their very own university, Tonga will be the well educated little dot in the ocean, therefore my Samoan brothers and sisters, don't be afraid to change but do it by God's way, fair and honest to everyone, not one rule for the have and a different to the have not.

And you, ýour heart is full of evil, every comments you make is full of hate, the end of the world is coming soon, so don't worry you are the only one who will end up working for the Chinese in the rice fields by yourself

If you watched this video you should know why this is a problem. When one person is made sole owner to the family land, he can do whatever he wants with it. He can sell it to foreigners. Now imagine if they pass this law and all or most of these lands become privately owned. A lot of these owners would of course sell or lease to foreigners in order to get that income, but what happens to the rest of the family that are now not entitled to that land? They will end up living in slums in their own country. What is rightfully theirs will be taken away from them and owned by foreigners.
