What if Wes heard Cai ask Gav if he was okay? They zoomed out to all three screens. Maybe he didn't really go to the bathroom, just used it as an excuse. This episode have me overthinking everything.

This episode really got us thinking. We are all empathizing with Gav so much because this is the first time we saw his character so shaken and unsure.
Personally, I think Wes would probably compete with Gav for Cai’s attention, not because Wes is in love with Cai but because he is a friend who is lonely and bored. Wes, I think, is the “anti-Pearl” as far as bestfriend goes.
It’s the bestfriend vs. the boyfriend situation, which happens in real life. I hope they reach a compromise to solve the conflict.

If Wes is consciously going after Cai, he is crazy to show his hand in front of Gav. All he’s doing is stimulating Gav’s protection strategies. If Cai is moving to Wes’s location, Wes should make his move after Cai gets there.
And from Gav’s POV, this is actually an opportunity. I really dislike the word test cos that implies Gav wouldn’t help Cai realise the challenge they face and the decision Cai will have to make in the medium term. If Cai’s connection to Gav is so loose that Wes can easily disrupt it, the sooner they know that, the better.
In my experience of LDR’s, it’s fine for several months but you have to live your lives, and then your lives move forward separately (especially at CaiReel’s age) even if you talk regularly and visit regularly; there is less and less shared experience; and then when you see each other you find that some of the emotional intimacy is gone and it becomes a bit strange and awkward. Unless there is a clear goal of when you’ll be back together to sustain the relevance of your connection, in my experience you’re better off kissing goodbye and wishing each other the best and going onward as fond friends. Of course I’m generalizing and there could be circumstances that mean you don’t really grow forward apart (maybe if you spend most of your spare time gaming together online, for example).
Did you even notice its parallelism with Terrence popping up in Cai's one of his livestreams?
And also did you notice the departure board... "London, Cairo, Paris..." which could be a subtle clue to his childhood. That could be a memorabilia on which the Lazaro siblings were named after.

Before gav popped in the convo cai was trying to tell wes not to call him ssob but wes being wesley called cai ssob🤭infront of gav, i love his audacity😂
You can see how he emphasizes that he's the master and that they are childhood friends.
I think what tipped me towards thinking he's a villain out to snatch Cai from Gav is 1) BE WITH ME - talk about subliminal advertising on that shirt, 2) he didn't have to take off his shirt on cam (he probably learned it by osmosis from Gavreel "Thirst Trap' Alarcon), and 3) he looks so smug when he talks about being with Cai in Bukidnon.

The deal with Wes is that he and probably Terrence can actually give us the Mother of all cliffhangers episode 13. There has has to be a reason for us to wait for the movie, and i'm hoping its not a break up. Episode 10 if ever it was the Finale gave us what we wanted, which was a happy ending, giving it again in episode 13 would be expected. But 'Im hoping episode 13 will end happy to give us a fresh start for the movie.

This is kind of obvious. Didn't you notice the injection of a part of Harry Potter? Severus Snape's Patronus was also a doe, which symbolized his love for Lily. Snape uses his doe Patronus to show Dumbledore that he never fell out of love with Lily, his childhood best friend This is genius writing by FirstIdea. ! There are clues all along the story......which means that Wes has been in love with Cai all along since their childhood days.
I think it's not only Gav who feels threatened here. It's all of us! Hahaha. Ash playing w/ our minds and hearts once again. Making Wes someone having lots of similarities w/ Gav, plus the childhood connection w/ Cai. Parang mas tayo ang na windang compared sa mag-baby.hahaha

I'll take the opposite speculation about Wes. True, he's exhibiting gestures of a guy with agenda but I think to protect Cai's best interest as his only longtime platonic childhood friend. Similar to how Pearl was protecting Cai from possibly being just toyed with by Gav in her revelation in ep3. True friends being devious to protect their friends best interest. I still hope Wes will end up as the next Pearl. Its quite contrasting, Pearl leaving closely to Gav in Cavite, Wes leaving closely to Cai's place in Bukidnon. I just fear that Terrence actually remained unchanged and orchestrated and reached out to Wes to indirectly ruin CaiReel.
I can see your point but the creative team put so much details to convey a totally different feeling about this Wes guy.

After finishing ep13....I'm so proud that I didnt judge Wes too harshly.
On one hand there is this wes. On the other hand that cliffhanger with Terrence. I know Terrence is forgiven but why do I still doubt his character. I feel like gav and cai is gonna misunderstand each other😢

Am I the only one who's confused sa depth ng friendship ng CaiWes?
