*TO ANYONE THAT HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS* On the Kuga and Focus, the steering wheel buttons need to be connected. On my Kuga, only the volume up and down buttons worked. After connecting the wire, the next / previous buttons also worked. You can fix this by connecting PIN 46 to the longer brown (my cable was green for some reason) cable from the module. Look in the instructions or ask him for instructions. There is a section called "Steering wheel control wire"
i like the product but i have a 2 question, 1- what's the use of mic includedon pack? the factory sync 2 already have mic and 2- to use wired carplay i may use the original sync2 media usb ports or need to be upgraded as ford asks?
I just installed mine on a 15 Escape, the original USB and SD card slot continue to work and function as normal. Not 100% on the mic, I haven't made call or use the assistant much to test. The kit comes with a usb dongle that you will use for your android auto, so you don't replace it use the factory ones.
@@mikey090 thanks a lot mike for the answer, may you try voice commands or make a call to check if mic works good, i've had heard that some pals have troubles with that kind of microphone that people can't listen clear even changing the mic included, i want to be sure that calls works like the original one radio. please
@@Olwingponce I have my phone connected via Bluetooth in the original sync system. I started a call, all coming out via factory speakers etc. I tried to isolate to the plastic mic n it seemed like it was all via original components. I then plugged usb for Android auto and I get a message saying bluetooth is not connected but my call stayed on from when I did it on Sync 2. I hung up and called again while on Android Auto and it once again made the call via the original car system. I wi have to remove the extra mic and see if there are any differences. It may be an add on for ppl without a working mic? Even the attendant wld b picked up by a phones mic so it seems redundant.

Would this work for a 2016 Ford Explorer Limited Edition Plus (front&back camera, auto park, separate navigation not on the Sync2 screen like in US)? Navigation starts by pressing the talking steering wheel button for 3 seconds (the same button that if pressed for less than 3 seconds access the voice recognition system).
