I grew up in Iowa. Lived there through my school years until 1991. I’ve been through tornadoes. Very scary. Now living in Texas past 33 years.

I don't understand how everyone is told to take cover and driving right into the tornado.

Probably storm chasers. Some are legit, and warn people about where the tornadoes are and where they are headed, while also getting footage of it. Not that I would do that, oh heck no... ha!

Remember when you are driving on the interstate at highway speed and a tornado suddenly appears in front of you it still takes some time to stop!

Imagine a special storm-chasing ambulance service that purposefully follow tornadoes around to help the folks in its path.

Are there bad cops yes but your talking .001% but i dont think alot of people truly appreciate what it takes to be a police officer and most would never have the nerve to do the job...i appreciate those guys who put on a uniform everyday to protect us citizens...lastly what nobody considers is the mental trauma they have to deal with not only while working but when they arent with some of the stiff they have to see...remember most of the time they meet people its because of bad circumstances. Good job Trooper

I take it you've never lived in a community hit by a tornado. I have and everyone who can help normally does help. I live just outside of Selma and Winchester, Indiana, where an EF3 devastated both towns at the beginning of April.

Ok. Please understand how the government works to avoid ignorant comments like this. Your governor is responsible for state emergencies. So if you’re not getting help call your governor. Ask her where is the state emergency fund? If she thinks she needs more money then she can ask for tfederal help. Ask little dicksantis why so many people are either still homeless or still living in broken houses after Ian? Maybe because he sends tax payers money to his friends instead of help the people that live in Florida. And I’m sure Kim is just like little dicksantis.

Don’t think those folks would want any, it’s socialism! They will get back on their feet. This happens every year around there and the community get it sorted.
