You seem like such a genuinely kind person, so gentle and easy going. It doesn't hurt that you are gorgeous too....Believe me, I typically don't write these type of things but your spirit is just so lovely, someone you'd want to be around all day, to just chit chat or watch a movie with...Your family is blessed to have you.     ❤️❤️❤️Great video. In November 2017 I started Keto / low carb / intermittent fasting and to date have lost a little over 75 lbs. I have another 30-40 pounds to go. This eating protocol makes me feel great! Congratulations on a healthy lifestyle.❤️❤️❤️

    Totally agree with you Lisa!! All the info you've given is true and direct. Its just what and how I would explain it. I gained quite a bit of weight since having both my sons and began doing low carb in 2008 and lost all the weight I wanted and have successfully kept it off since by adopting this ,not as a diet but as my chosen lifestyle .I have many people asking me how I did it and how I continue to do it . I tell them that you adjust to it and its super easy. Its a matter of your pallet adapting. Is it easy at first? NO.BUT if you really want to see results, you must work for it. People have said to me that they just don't have the will power but honestly, you grow accustomed to it. Now, when I eat anything not low carb or sugar filled, I get sick and feel sluggish. It's kind of a good thing for me bc often times it prevents me from craving anything bad. Thanks for this video because I can just refer people to it rather than having to explain all again myself, lol! Eating like this makes me feel so good both physically and externally. For anyone pondering on it, I say go for it!!! You don't have anything to lose but the weight and the feeling of being tired all the time. 😊

    This is quite a bit similar to Suzanne Somer's "Somersize" diet. I lost 25lbs in 5 weeks following this "no carb" way of eating. Cravings are gone in 4-5 days and you're right......energy is way up. She has some great recipes on her site too. Fat is your friend, sugar is the enemy. I would stay away from any foods that are white (flour, sugar, white rice, etc).

    Also if you want to add flavor to the cheese and meat roll ups, I like to spread a thin layer of Primal Kitchen Mayo in the Chipotle Lime flavor in between them! Its delicious, they also make just a plain mayo that I like to use too for egg or tuna salad.

      also if you dont like water so much, try adding those flavor enhancers in the bottles like Mio. I use "Stur" which is made from stevia. the fruit punch flavor is good!

    Love this. I mix up my own chicken sausage to taste like Jimmy Dean. Have that with some eggs. Cook a pack of chicken thighs or quarters in the slow cooker and put in freezer containers. Pull out, heat and have a little teriyaki ( one is runny and not high carb- it’s thin like soy sauce), tuna or tinned trout on salad if I don’t want chicken. Plain Italian vinaigrette should be low carb ( no need to add sugar). I’ve kept 105 pounds off and after taking dad out Friday, I am loosing the last little bit this summer. You a d Tammy have been so helpful with this. My keto is not strict, I don’t always have high fat, but it works. Add intermittent fasting and I’m thrilled. Love this, and it’s working even through holidays.

    If you want to lose weight and actually understand how it works you need to learn the math & science of calories. You need to be able to read a nutrition label and understand it, and be able to understand how big your portion actually is. You also need to understand the math & science of the calories you burn every day.
    It's literally all math. Count the calories you are putting in your mouth, and count the calories that you are expending every day. If you burn more calories than you eat every day you will lose weight (if you want to lose 2 pounds per week you have to burn 1000 more calories than you eat a day; so if you ate 2000 calories you have to burn 3000 calories).

      hayleypdowd Exactly. If you consult a professional/trained nutritionist, this is exactly what he/she will say to you. Soooo many ppl are always looking for the quickest, easiest way to shed unwanted pounds, when in reality, those quick-fix methods can actually be so very harmful to the overall health of your body in the long-term. The best weight loss “method” is the way you’ve just described. It’s not the fastest, and that’s exactly why it’s also not the easiest - and ppl get discouraged and frustrated and just want to give up. But in the long run, it’s truly the healthiest way to take off (and keep off) any excess weight. And it’s also why dieting without any regular exercise (even just a 20-30 minute brisk walk every day) isn’t the best (or healthiest) way to lose weight. Losing weight through eating right AND exercising is basically an overall lifestyle shift. And ANY exercise added to your daily routine on a regular basis will only help to improve your overall health across an entire lifetime..👍

    Not sure if you have heard of the book Trim Healthy Mama. It is carb cycling and makes it very easy to do. I lost 85 pounds with it after my 3rd baby and I am getting ready to do it again after my 4th baby. The best part, I was never hungry! Check it out, it makes life so much more enjoyable!

    Pecans and macadamia nuts are super low in carb . I have been keto for over a year. I do order bread from nettrition. Its only 1 carb a slice and only 60 calories a slice. You do have to toast it, but it is delish I love meat too. Thank God. But stay away from the low fat. In the long run you will gain it all back. Too much sugar in low fa foods.. Raises insulin. Which blocks fat burning.

    There is a book by Jorge Cruise called The 100, its all about eating low carb no sugar and you can drop 10 pounds in a week, it also has a list of free foods you can eat , i lost 20 pounds with that book and you dont feel deprived at all, unless your a big bread eater or a cookie monster, Lisa it sounds like your doing it already, you look great,

    I’m also doing Keto/lowcarb really depends on my day (where I am working etc) I have lost 12 pounds. Also you are still using Monat? I highly recommend you not using the Intensive Repair. I’m a stylist and I used it for 6 months and I ordered the IRT and it started breaking my hair off. My hair has never looked so bad. I just want to let you know not to use it. Only for bald people. Love your videos and your beautiful face!!!! You look great momma! Also my favorite cheat is the low carb tortillas and sugar free jello/pudding with fat free whip cream. The more fat you put in the more fat you flush out. The keystone urine strips are a fun way to see how much fat you are flushing out. 😘😘👍🏼😍

    We have been doing keto for nearly 7 months! A couple other things I eat are pepperonis and jerky type meats not slim Jim’s but some like that have way less carbs! I’m down 38lbs jello and whipped cream helped me so much and string cheese!

    Hi Lisa--First-time commenter, here...anyway...do you work a glass of wine or a cocktail into this regimen (say, on weekends) or are you an abstainer? I find if I skip even my former 4-5 glasses of wine per week, the weight comes off faster--but my social life is bland:) Let us know! I am inspired to do the SB Diet again. Low carb really is the way to go for visible results...but hard to maintain the loss long-term, when carbs creep back in.

    Wanted to tell you about a drink. You may know about it already, but I thought I would mention just in case you didn't . It's Truelime and it sweetened with stevia....little packets you add to water and it has many different flavors. I find it at Wal-Mart near the Crystal light😍

    You look amazing!!! This is the way of eating that works best for me as well! I call it a modified Keto diet because I just can't get that intense lol. I need to drink more. Sucralose worries me for me, but I admit, a Diet Coke once in a while is a treat for me. I suppose it all balances out.

    Another alternative to Atkins is the South Beach diet, which helps you rid your dependence on excess sugars and refined carbs. Has 3 phases which you cycle through as you need, but the focus is on lean protein (I do chicken, fish and meatless patties, occ. steak, but leaner cuts) and good fats, more veggies. They have packaged food you can buy from them now - but I would skip that and instead buy the book (or check out from the library) so you understand why you are cutting out some foods and gradually incorporating others. Like Lisa mentioned, Dr. Agaston, (SBD founder) usually recommends avoiding most foods labeled "low fat" due to their high amnt. of sugar. Detoxing off the sugar in Phase 1 (2-3weeks) can be tough the first time, but man, I felt great. No more mid day slump, I was tired at night when I was supposed to be, no digestive issues. I don't lose 10 lbs in 3 weeks, but I definitely go down a pant size. Then on to phase 2. You can move on to eating carbs again, but learn why you should avoid the refined ones, esp. at all three meals in one day. I still prefer my burgers "topless" and prefer the sugar free fudgesciles to the regular ones when I need a chocolate fix. Definitely check out the book to understand the science, get a printable list of foods for quick reference and some great recipes.

    Thanks for the info, I am a carbaholic and never had a problem with my metabolism til I got to 49. 😫It’s probably a good idea now that I have to lose 20+ lbs to let the carbs go.... those dresses are so summer perfect!!! I’m gonna check them out. 💙💙💙

    Love those dresses! Atkins sweet stuff has Maltitol which upsets my stomach too! If you are craving sweets, Lily's brand chocolate is sweetened with Stevia and doesn't upset my stomach. You can usually find them at Whole Foods or a natural grocery type place.

    Thanks for keeping it real, simple, and personal. Much easier to be inspired by this video than those who have intricate meal planning and elaborate recipes and nuances (more power to them if it works for them!). I’m gonna try roll ups for lunch and stick some spinach or pickles in them. Did you say no tomato because of carbs or because you don’t enjoy tomatoes?

      the only guaranteed way to lose weight is to understand the math of calories in vs calories out. you can eat healthy food all day long but if you aren't burning significantly more calories than you eat EVERY DAY you won't lose weight. i'd suggest getting a FitBit which counts your movement and tells you roughly how many calories you've burned in a day. if you compare that to how many calories you eat you may start to understand why you can't lose weight

    Howdy! By the 3rd day on Atkins, I lose my appetite....I ate a lot of fish which I love....I made a tuna or chicken salad with hard boiled eggs, chunk cheese, onions and mayo. The only time I cheated was I did have my coffee in the morning with my rich creamers but still can lose 4 pounds a week ( I lost 28 pounds in 2 months)...more if I work out every day. Belly fat doesn't have to be....exercise helps so much...I do hard cardio 4 times a week and those sit-ups do wonders and I am 63! Dance! Thank you for this...this was so fun and I never saw a dress on you I didn't love.....oh that blue dress..perfection!..xx Sues

    Thanks for all the dieting tips...Lisa try making you an egg frittata super easy and you can make it with any type of ingreds...I made one today but I did put kidney beans in it...sometimes I put black beans BUT I did have a slice of whole wheat toast with peanut butter, ground flaxseed and raw honey...filled me up for the entire day...I enjoyed it so much I had another slice with the PBFH whole wheat toast for supper...loved all the sun dresses especially the one you had on and the one John picked out....you look gorgeous as always 💟

    I was craving for a salad throughout the whole video, I even ordered a salad spinner LOL.
    When I was little I used to wear a lot (until it fell apart) a denim dress with patched up patterns, I loved it and I'm still looking for one like that. I love my childhood!

    Fruit is always allowed in my opinion. Loaded with fiber & it’s a clean food. Want to lose weight, eat whole, clean & lean. Stay away from dairy, sugar and meat. Our bodies get energy from carbs and we need them... the complex carbs! Portion control is key too. Choosing low-fat & artificial sweeteners will help you lose weight but the goal should also be health.

    I love low carb! I have lost 20 pound with a low carb lifestyle. I’m feeling amazing and feel great as well. After having my baby it took me a while to get my groove back. But i feel back to myself now. A year and a half later, but i mean better late then never!! Love your videos! ❤️❤️❤️

    You look great! I have been eating low carb/keto for a while and YES to the salads and sugar free jello. I have also been obsessed with cottage cheese with hot sauce and taco bowls.

    Try the Body Armor Lyte! It’s a electrolyte water and I swear it taste better than any Snapple fruit flavored drinks. I keep it in the fridge at our pool bar for everyone that swims can drink. Everyone just loves it.

    Hi Lisa. Where to start....first off, I think you look wonderful. Your skin is glowing. I think your makes up looks simply classy. Your eyes especially! There seem to be so many pretty dresses out now for summer. Lands End and Talbots have some sweet selections, as does J.Jill. I remember my youngest sister doing the Atkins diet after her first baby was born. She followed it to a T and she looked and felt so wonderful. She maintained her weight for two years, then came her twins. You've inspired me to try the plan. Honestly, this menopause weight is unbearable. I never had baby weight to lose, so the added pounds that are hitting me fast are discouraging. Omelet's! Duh!!! I forget about how simple and tasty they are. Carbs can be so sneaky- hiding in foods you wouldn't think. I've been reading a book by Tosco Rena (I think I've got it right) about pairing a "clean carb and a lean protein" with every meal. So much to learn- our bodies are amazing....Thanks for sharing!

    Lisa, when I want to lose weight I love the low carb diet as well, but the one I follow is by Suzanne Somers which she calls Somersizing. If you are interested you can try one of her Somersizing books, all #1 best sellers, less restrictive than Atkins.

    I have tried low carb and it does okay but low calorie works SO much faster for me. I can lean down quickly if I limit myself to 1600 calories a day using a calorie counting app like MyFitnessPal.

      I absolutely agree. If for some reason I safely lose 5 lb of water weigh than that means I've been retaining 5 lb of fluid I don't need and could be affecting my blood pressure at cetera.

Given where I lived 😄😉 anyway because of my health, and you can see that if you happened to go to my channel which you DON'T have to do, I drink Ketone salts and they target the belly!!! Woo hoo!! I drink them because they're helping with my breathing disorder that I go to Duke University Hospital for. And I'm 57 postmenopausal and it's reducing my belly especially that under the belly button Pooch I had two children that are 36 and 30 this month and they both were two weeks late so that is since my twenties has been an issue.     Thank you Lisa! Very inspiring video. I never had problems with weight but now over 45 and struggling to loose just 6-8 pounds; sounds like 2 weeks off carbs might be what i need!
    Saw some criticism how bad Atkins diet is but i think it was old days version- when just fat steaks and fried eggs, modern version is full of veggies - just low-carb veggies. Kale and spinach are full of fiber, minerals and vitamins :-)

    I do low carb and intermittent fasting. I drink water or unsweetened tea to which I add stevia. I don’t lose weight with diet soft drinks though. I’ve kept my weight off for a year so far. I lose weight opposite from you, I think. I lose weight in my arms and chest last. My chest holds out as long as possible. I think each person has to figure out what works for them. It took me a long time to figure out what works best for me. Lots of trial and error.

    What would you suggest to eat for breakfast for someone who works and doesn’t get a lunch break till mid afternoon? Definitely need something that would keep me full for a long period and find that bread is the only thing that does that !😬any suggestions???

    I like the Laughing Cow cheese. I've cut out dairy and basically eat chicken, low carb. I love salads too. Those are some of the changes I have made and the weight is coming off. Instead of using bread for a sandwich, I use lettuce. I like the ideas you gave about losing weight. The sundresses are so pretty!

    Have you tried the Jimmie Dean crumbled Turkey Sausage? It’s precooked too and is great to throw right inside your omelets. Makes you feel like you are getting a nice hearty omelet. 😉
