except Suing to punish get a lawsuit dismissed or even gets stuck with the defended lawyer fees (call a bad faith suit). Because the Civil lawsuit are about making you "whole" hence you can only recover damages. If you want to punish you need to lobby the prosecutor to bring criminal charges

Some of the most beautiful, wonderful women I've known have been along the red spectrum, from deep auburn to carrot top red. Ignorant, stupid, cruel people appear to disagree, and they are wrong.
Of course, to make it better, you know that Jesus was a dark-skinned Mediterranean Jew, with hair that was probably almost black. Any bets that the school depicts him as a white guy with light brown or near blond hair? Yeah, there's so much real stuff to worry about. Hair color doesn't even make the list.

Last story: What grandma fails to understand is many, many children are kidnapped NOT by strangers but by people they know personally, and it's usually family members. She wouldn't like how high grandparent(s) are on that list. That's why a child doesn't put up a fuss like they would with a stranger: they trust the kidnapper. OP's reaction and his little revenge on his mother aren't over-the-top in the least; it is in fact quite sane. She has no idea how lucky she is that he didn't outright ban her.

    Cat story:
True sueing the wicked b* from the east would not bring back the cats but it would have resulted in a punishment for her.
The cats and the belongings were in the divorce agreement which she 100% violated and committed animal cruelty by releasing house cats into the wilderness where she knew there are predators. Depending on the local laws it may even qualify as assault.
Not doing anything is the same as congratulating a Karen for her action. It enables further questionable behavior.
Pressing charges is the ONLY way a Karen even has the CHANCE to learn/reflect on her mistakes.

Socially, people often isolate red haired people (probably because of their general rarity in the population). Red heads steal your soul, they are in league with satan etc.
My high school (Catholic) had a rule that we could dye our hair, but only natural colours. It's a weird area of ruling in a school (only way it makes sense to me is if you are using some form of dress code to teach kids how to dress appropriately for work vs recreation etc)

Agreed Alexandra, Christianity (which I am including myself in) have some of the worst judgemental people on the planet. They think they are doing god's (yes lowercase) work but miss the whole bigger picture. Jesus didn't hang out with the kigs, priests or high elite society people, he hung out with tax collectors (very low socially), prostetutes, gentiles and the people who needed the help. Your kidnapping story really spoke to me. When I was only 11 months old, my mother had to go to the hospital to give birth to my brother. At the time, I was being watched by a sitter as mom and been out of the house at the time her water broke.
While mom was at the hospital, grandma came over to 'pick me up'. She told the sitter my name, who my mom was and this checked out with the sitter, so she was here to watch me and the sitter could leave.
Now, my brother was born a month early, and was tiny. So both my mom and new brother had to stay in the hospital, this meant that mom wanted to call the sitter and ask if I could stay with her until mom was able to leave the hospital.
The sitter told my mom that my grandma had come and picked me up already.
My mother told me that the nurses at the nurses station had to run to her room as they heard her scream and came to find her swearing up a storm. Mom had not told grandma to come and pick me up. Nope, grandma came and got me all on her own. She didn't even know that mom was in the hospital.
You see there is a problem with my grandmother on my mothers side; she has a few mental illnesses. Not a Karen level or anything like that, but she does kind of live in her own little world and she wanted to spend time with me. Since, mom never let me see her.
So grandma picked me up in the later morning and it was now evening. My mom called the police and filed a kidnapping report and prayed that grandma was heading back to her place a town or two over so that they might find me.
Sure enough, that was exactly what was happening. The police pulled her over and got me back to my mom.
Now, I didn't learn about this until a few years ago and found out that a few years after I was kidnapped, her mental health just got worse and worse over the years until she passed away. The good news about it, is that I was too young to remember the kidnapping or anything like that. And I can only hope that the OP's child won't remember the kidnapping thing either.

The grandma story reminds me of something that happened to my brother when he was a baby: my grandparents went to Mississippi to get tractor parts and didn't tell my parents. So they came to pick him up, no one was home. So, they waited for hours until my grandparents and brother got back. My mom took my brother and my dad gave my grandpa a quarter and told him in an eerily calm voice, "next time, call" ( my grandparents don't have phones). My dad says that was the only time he was soooooo pissed at them

The 'mother' that dumped the cats needs to be punished, sueing someone isn't just a profit seeking excercise it is a punishment for the behaviour of the perpetrator usually in the only language they understand, their wallet.

Cat story: Don't write off Antonio and Dexter. Unless they're declawed, cats are survivors and it's not a given that they're still alive, but it is a possibility. I have a rescue cat that used to live in some nearby woods. He's a great hunter, even going so far as teaching my dog how to hunt. Now my dog hunts like a feline instead of like a canine.

It took me three years to allow my son to stay overnight with even family. If my mother did this, she literally would not see my children for a VERY long as you don't recover trust easily for that. We actually had it where she was posting pictures of my kids behind my back after she was told we were limiting pictures of them on the internet. I ended up limiting pictures she got to see entirely and monitoring her social media.

Story 2: animal cruelty can be a prison sentence. Charge them. Maybe let inmates know as well.
Story 3: the mom needs mental help. Get her detained in a ward. Otherwise the mom might kidnap child again.

Thankfully, since my husband snapped a picture of me cuddling the orange tabby kitten our neighbors had just found and brought to me because they didn't have any idea what to feed him and we matched (He was 12 when he died after eating bad cat food).

My grandparents once unintentionally kidnapped me. I was like 12 and allowed to be home alone during my summer break when my mom was at work. I decided I wanted to go to my grandparents place one town over so I asked them to pick me up and bring me there. When my mom came home to an empty house she texted me asking if I was at the lake (I was allowed to go there with friends during the day as long as I texted her to let her know) and I said no. She asked if I was at a friend's place. I said no. She said I wasn't being funny and I needed to tell her where I was. I said I was at her parent's place. My grandparents just assumed I had let my mom know before I left so they didn't bother checking if it was okay
