  • Many traders think they are trading, but in reality they are simply gambling and they don't even know it. Sadly many aren't taught the proper way to approach the business. They have NO money management rules, no trade management rules, barely any pattern recognition rules and are largely trading blind without even knowing it. Today's lecture is going to change all of that!

    Jared, you definitely can be sour grapes... HOWEVER... You are extremely gifted at teaching this stuff and have *everyone*, including the Insane knuckleheads best interest in your core. You're truly a master, expert and should be instructing. We can only be so lucky to have you teaching.
    If you want to learn to trade, realize that the market is not your friend, but this man is your ally, and he is not gonna feed you a sugar coated zippel....
    Thank you Jared for all you do.

    The fact is you need skills in trading Wich take years and you need a good amount of money to trade with that's the cold hard truth

    • @Longlostpuss
      @Longlostpuss ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pdtglez2013 He means you need a decent amount of capital for your trading to really work.
      The problem is, the smaller your lot sizes get is the less you can risk and the slower your progress, as you have to sit out trades for longer to make decent returns.
      Swing trades are giving you less and less mileage now, so the way forward is scalping shorter distances at higher risk.
      The problem is that you can't afford to risk high with small accounts.
      As usual, the people who already have alot of money have the advantage, this is what the channels don't really keep 💯

    • @31arts
      @31arts ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I follow your rules, and I keep winning. Why gamble? Im in it to win in the long run. I will wait for the right trades, even if I have to stay out of the market for a few days. *No Fomo*

    • @Longlostpuss
      @Longlostpuss ปีที่แล้ว

      @@31arts Correct, as you should, that's not what the author is saying.
      He's just saying that if you want to do this ish for a living, you already need to have alot of money to use to do it.
      Most people have to work hard and save for years to get that sort of capital to trade (alot of brokers are asking for $25,000 minimum to trade under a company name now). If you've spent 10 years of hard graft saving that money and you're a relatively new trader, you are automatically gambling with your hard earned saving (like most people who do this) by trading, no matter what.
      90%+ of the market lose, 90%.
      If you have a small account, you can wait as long as you want for the right trades, but the fact is, to make any worthwhile money, it's going to take you about 30+ years if you've got a little account.
      The rich and the huge hedge fund firms can basically gamble with $100,000 as a starter, that's probably their smallest accounts. When you have accounts that big, you can take smaller risks and make more money than people on smaller accounts.
      It makes a huge difference.

    If you treat trading like black jack card counting and you know the statistics after every card laid, then you have one hell of an advantage. I would like a system that tells me the odds of every trade available in the market at any point in time, and the change in those statistics.Just Ask Market Wizard Ed Thorp.

    You can wrap it up with all these fancy technicals but at the end of the day the risk involved makes it lean more on the gambling side. Well a lot of business ventures (putting up a restaurant, quitting your day job for.., etc.) has a decent amount of dice rolling too. Coming up with system with day trading gets you somewhere but at the end of the day it's just really an illusion that the big boys in the market (w/c is the biggest casino in the planet) wants you to believe (as if you can outsmart their Algos. ) Same with card games really.. Casinos wants you to believe that you can count cards or hack the system but all these marketing really are aiming on people's weaknesses (ex. greed, ). The market is rigged (for us small fish) that is obvious, at least on card games your enemy is yourself and of course 'statistics/probability'.

    The only way to guarantee not to gamble in trading is to focus on trading TQQQ/SQQQ. Momentum trade those 2 and that’ll be the easiest way to not gamble. Then if you want use what you earn from trading the Q’s to dollar cost average to invest longer terms stocks whether it be dividends stocks or growth stocks

    For new ones...could you explain what is big R mean... in this context...you refer to... is this security rights offering...

    • @smacpost3
      @smacpost3 ปีที่แล้ว

      R:R, = risk to reward. For example, you buy a stock for $1.00
      In case it goes against you, you set your stop loss to $0.95; that's your risk (.05c)
      What is your reward? If you want a reward of 2, then it must be 2x your risk, or in this case .10c, so your target is $1.10.
      that is a risk of 5c vs. a reward of 10c = 5 : 10 = 1 : 2
      so your risk is one and your reward is 2. therefore R=2
