Dear Anand, I could see azolla culture in a part of the rejuvenated lake. There are many varieties of azolla. I am sure that you may be knowing that the plant is useful as a protein supplement, animal fodder, Mosquito repellent, bio-fertiliser (nitrogen fixing) etc. It can also absorb certain minerals from the waste water in the pond thus functioning as aqu purifie under controlled environmental conditions. Please discuss with some biology professors in your volunteer team so that the lake water will become more user-friendly at the same time regenerate some money for the expenses for the upkeep of the water quality.
