Yeah, the shape is partly inspired by cane toads who have poison sacks behind their eyes. Cane toads are also a horrible invasive species in Max’s home country of Australia.

The 4 not box legendaries are called the treasures of ruin. You have Chien-Pao, the one on the snow hazzard packs. Ting-Lu on the clay burst Wo-Chien is the leaves snail, The one you said was camouflage And Chi-Yu is the fire fish. They're all basically artifacts that control a type to form it's body. The swords for Chien-Pao, the Bowl antlers for Ting-Lu, the wooden spiral tablets on the shell of Wo-Chien, and the eyes of Chi-Yu are Jade beads
Also Max, the doors where Wo-Chien (grass snail) and Ting-Lu (ground moose) are sealed away are visible in the background of Pineco and Primeape's artworks. I imagine the same goes for Chien-Pao (snow cat) and Chi-Yu (fire/magma fish) in other artwork.
Whenever the goblin uploads, I stop everything I am doing to watch him open up new shiny cardboard while screaming random Pokémon names in the middle of the night. Love you, Max! Never change!
The Pokemon you got at 25:27 is Ceruledge, its pre evo is Charcadet and can evolve into 2 different Pokemon depending which game your playing, if u play Scarlet it evolves into Armarouge (the red and yellow one you saw in a previous video) and in Violet Charcadet evolves into Ceruledge the purple and blue one :)
To add to this, you can still evolve them in the opposite games. The item you need to evolve them are exclusive to each game, so you can still for example trade a pokemon holding the item to be able to evolve your own in the game! :D
Little mario mushroom line is Nacli > Naclstack > Garganacl. The names are a play on salt/NaCl and they're based on rock salt or the mineral form halite with the cubic crystals and all :]

The seed and flower looking guys are called Glimmet and Glimmora and are found mainly towards the end game
I actually bought 3 booster boxes trying to get the alternate Iona card but got the other alternate trainer instead (which I'm happy with too). I even got most of the art cards without any duplicates which was pretty surprising.
The "cowardly frog" is Frigibax, and its line is loosely based on godzilla. The jump over the gorge is a special attack its line can learn where it flips forward and slides to attack. Which is a vague reference to a godzilla attack where he laid back on his tail and slid into a kick attack.
Also would like to add that the super expensive card is so expensive because it's nearly a reprint of N, which is one of the best cards in the history of the game

Here to explain the lore Basically the 2 legendaries on the front of the packs are part of a set of 4 legendaries (the other 2 ones being the fire fish and the autumn leaves pokemon, that is a snail made of leaves) They are supposed to be cursed objects that possessed the environment, the sabertooth snow leopard is a cursed broken sword that made a body out of snow, the deer is a cursed vase or bowl that made a body out of clay, the fish are cursed beads that made a body out of fire, and the snail is a set of wood tablets that made a body out of leaves
You know, maybe next week, you should open the new series of Smashers, Dino Island. You did the other series already, so you should do this. ( Also, it's very strange to have your last 3 series be about dinosaurs.)
The pokemon you said looked like a rock mario mushroom is Nacli, its a salt pokemon which is why its so cubed, as that is the crystalline structure of salt. You also pulled its evolution Nacalstack earlier in the video and it has a final evolution known as Garganacl. From what I know about the VGC Garganacl is actaully pretty good, mainly for the lines signiture move, Salt Cure, which is a 40 bp move that then does 1/8 of the targets max hp as damage as a DOT or 1/4 if its a steel or water type.

The fire fish is my favorite legendary lol. The lore is that the eyes themselves are possesed beads and made a body out of lava. Its so hot that everything around it melts to lava and it swims through that to get around lol.

ngl waifu effect was def part of why they were really expensive, but there was the other reason of the card being really good in the actual competitive scene. so you got some rare arts of a really popular female character that was also good when playing in battles, yea can be expected with card nerds who like waifus or whatever.

They're called the treasures of ruin. They're posseses artifacts that dont mean to be so massively destructive but they are so they were sealed in the 4 corners of the map with magic keys kinda. Just finding the keys undoes the seal though so not very strong magic lmao.
Annihilape is one of the most hilarious pokemon they've made. Primeape became so angry that it died but came back to life as a ghost because he is too angry to just die and stay dead
The fish is called Chi-Yu, its one of the ruin pokemon (the pack art) The little rings around its eyes are sacred gems! Commonly used in religious rituals and stuff like that ( people also hunt for that pokemon to steal the gems/beads I believe) It also flies around and floats..which is interesting because its a fish??? It can produce very very hot flames that can melt throught stone/sand to make lava for this cute fish to swim through!! Its one of my fav's so I thought I might as well let you know if you're interested :D
