my blood boils thinking about just how much shit kanto gets in the TCG. they LITERALLY dedicated an entire set to Shiny Charizard. and that's not even to mention Shining Fates, Hidden Fates and the 2 different radiant Charizards. ALL of which were in sword and shield. Goddamnit, this set pisses me off. They would NEVER do a "156" set, but we're getting two heavily kanto-themed sets back to back in english. Fucking unfathomable...
The cards are all great except wouldve preferred to have seen the other two starters get an iconic well known pokemon artist, like the blastoise line did with Mitsuhira Arita, for those as well.
Fun fact: the reason the ditto is hiding in the rocks, is because one of his pokedex entries says that "while sleeping, ditto disguises itself as a rock"

I'd like to see them do a new fancy set dedicated to Diamond and Pearl in the future. Or gen 2 and continue the through the gens. They made so many exclusively gen 1 sets now, be neat to see others make a comeback. But at least this set has all new art, and looks beautiful.

I just want to watch a video of you trying to correctly name an assortment of pokemon Aside from a few generic looking cards, I feel like the artists did an INCREDIBLE job at the card illustrations for this set, and it brings me a lot of joy to see that artists were able to do the art for the whole evolution line. Except the artist that did the art for the special illustration charizard card. Artist robbed the mans of his neck lmao
