New sub. I have to be honest though when I saw someone reacting to Jordan Peterson was clickbait for me. lol His mind is wonderful and the way he articulates in his speech is captivating. I imagine many wished they could have taken his classes when he was still teaching. He and I hail from the same area in Northern Alberta. I'll certainly be back to this channel. I appreciate your open mind. They had been few and far between until the last 3 or 4 years and now I'm watching people leaving the flock and joining the pride every day! lol

Here's my opinion on the pronoun issue. I was taught English in America. I was taught what words mean and how to use them. When a group of individuals commands and demands that I go against the way i was taught and even threatens legal action, that is the end of free speech. Because theyre trying to re-write the English language to justify their mental illness.

Way back when I was in school, we were taught critical thinking, debate, gov & civics. Politics was spoken about only in gov class. No one knew what side the teachers were on. They didn’t discuss their politics or sexual anything to students. We were taught HOW to think, not what to think, and nobody knew anything about their personal lives. The good old days.

I had a young friend who grew up in NYC, and we had differing opinions on the left and the right. One night, he contacted me and told me he finally understood my stance, and agrees with nearly everything I believe. He also pointed out that he appreciated that I didn't just say "You are wrong, and I am right." I told him "I didn't want to tell you what to think. I wanted to teach you HOW to think for yourself!"

Matt Walsh said it best when he was on Dr. Phil. He basically stated that “we don’t get to make our own pronouns!”…and this was when he came out with his documentary “What is a Woman?”. Dr. Jordan B. Peterson is a HERO in my country…CANADA 🇨🇦 I think like him, where if someone IS a”full” trans woman or man, then they prefer to be called as such, about what gender they became, not the gender they were at birth. All of this other crap, about “I can be who or what I want to be and y’all have to respect that”…is pure 💩!! The REAL trans people are also pissed off because this “woke” B.S. is very offensive to them, as well as people who were born male and female! I am a Christian, and I do believe in giving respect…but only when it’s due. I have in my past life given my respect freely, to the point I was taken advantage of, and disrespected in return anyway! I don’t care what people want to do, or be in their OWN lives…just DO NOT force it on the rest of the population, because how many Christians try to talk to people about Jesus, (the way, the truth, the life), and these people give the Christians the ole “F -OFF”, because they have the RIGHT to not have it shoved down their throats!! This malarkey today is wayyyyy worse than what Christians do…these people with severe mental health issues are being rude, malicious, and are bullying the rest of us into their demands that we call them what THEY want!! Unless someone is fully transitioned into the sex/gender that they weren’t born as, they have no right to push these stupid words that have absolutely NO REAL meaning in real life…on others, and have NO right to be judgmental and violent about it, especially when that’s what THEY DON’T WANT from the world to begin with!!
Ok…I’ve said enough, and I hope and pray that everyone out there asks and appreciates God’s Blessings, because even IF they don’t love and know God…HE stills loves them!

It bothers me when people say "Everyone deserves respect." No, I disagree.
I can respect a person when I know them or their accomplishments. Or I can respect the position they are in, until such time as I know them well enough to make a value judgement. Until there is a reason to give someone respect, I have no basis for respecting them.
However, everyone deserves courtesy. There's no harm in being polite to them until they show they don't deserve politeness. Courtesy and respect are very different things.

As a contractor before someone does work for me and my customers, they must show expertise in their chosen field through past work, references and reputation as well as fiduciary responsibility to their employees. This will earn them the opportunity for a job and if they do well, they have earned my respect to do another job, but they don’t automatically have my respect. They must earn it and I must do the same. True respect takes time. This is all Peterson was saying that by calling someone by a pronoun doesn’t elicit respect. Professional courtesy is completely different. If I met someone new and they asked to be called a specific pronoun, I would be courteous and call them by their chosen pronoun. However, what I believe is different…you are either born as a boy or girl and if in a discussion about this, I will speak my mind. This is basically the way Peterson believes as well. He is against compelled speech. How do you legislate kindness or being courteous? If we try to do that like in Canada, then we’re going down one heck of a rabbit hole.

@@pbird5351 I certainly didn't get "clear thinker" from his statements/question.
It may be that he has a solid point somewhere in there, but he has not yet learned how to organize his thoughts in a concise manner. Or, he may just be throwing out a bunch of half formed thoughts in an attempt to "score points" by having his opponent not hit on every topic he brought up in their "debate".
Highly educated? yes. Highly intelligent? We don't have enough information to make that call.

Being intellectual… and having the appearance of being intellectual are two different things…
Much easier to sound smart than actually be smart

People are constantly trying to lie and twist Peterson's words. He is almost always on point in calling it out the fallacies

Love Jordan. Always have because he's always humble and allows everyone ask questions and he answers them honestly. And that's a trait no politicians or government aid have. So seeing Jordan respect and answer the question to the best if his ability is commendable.
