    I have both GS and Truman. Both are great boots, but different In my experience Truman's usually are ~$100 more for similar offerings. As of right now the Diesel's in Bison are $390, and the Trumans in Bison are $480. The GS are the value version of Alden. The Truman's are the value version of Viberg. The Truman's usually have thicker leather. The GS have that inner calf skin lining which is crazy nice.

    Have all these brands and Truman is the one I go back to most.

    I appreciate your effort, I think that's an unfair comparison, you picked the most expensive GS and the cheapest Truman. the average truman runs ~$480. the thickness of the leather midsole, GS also has a lot of shoes on sale, Truman never does. I got a pair of GS Brass boots (factory firsts) for $270.

      Easy to put shies on sale when they're made in a country that's not known for human rights.

    Have to say that both GS and Trumans are excellent boots at their respective price points. Own both and love both!

    I own all 3 brands; 1 pair of Iron Rangers (black, 8084), 2 GS Diesel boots (burgundy Kudu, tan Essex), and 2 Trumans on the 79 last (oxblood Doubleshot, noble ink Rambler). I love them all for different reasons, but i have to say my Trumans definitely get the most wear time. I love how Truman uses very unique leathers, especially the Rambler suede from CF Stead. Grant Stone has unrivaled quality for the price point, especially if you get in on their sales. Red Wing Shoes are a classic, and like many, my Iron Rangers were my very first high quality boots i ever bought and fell in love with. My Truman Boots are my thickest leather, most rugged boots; my Grant Stone boots have the best stitching and overall highest quality finish, and Red Wing is somewhere in the middle of those 2. Every boot has advantages amd disadvantages.
    Personally, i think i am going to stick with these 3 brands for the forseeable future, there is a lot to love about all of these brands.

      Also, for me, my Truman boots are definitely more roomy than my Grant Stone boots. My foot and Truman's 79 last get along great. My Grant Stone boots are still very comfortable and I don't have any complaints about the fit or quality, but my Trumans just fit me a little better.

    My Heritage starter boots were from Allen Edmonds. They are fine, but, I have stepped up to Trumans. If I can afford them, the next pair will be Viberg. That having been said, I would love some Grant Stones Diesels. I did try on the Iron Rangers. I really did not like the fit, materials or style. I know that they are popular- sorry everyone!

    Really nice boots all 3 , hey wish the video was longer or maybe do a full video on grant stone and the truman boots each , like to see that truman dark coyote video singled out , that would be great , was thinking of buying that truman boot . I do have 4 pairs of grant stone different models .oh by the way you didn't mention what leather was on grant stone or what model it was , as you know uts not just grant stone you have to mention which boot because the edward boot looks similar to the Diesel boot.

    look at the way the boot is shaped at the toes. the grant stone floyd last is so much better fitting on my foot. it goes with the shape of my foot. im not at an E width but close. my left foot is ever so slightly larger. i looked this up and the majority of people are this way. side note. i was hearing my knee pop when i walked down the steps. after wearing my grant stones for awhile this knee issue went away. i have no idea what the issue was. it was just something i noticed. i chalked it up to me just getting older. i have no worked a few 12 hour days in my grant stones with no pain. i think i found the boot for me.

    Hi, I have some question, since you have both Grant Stone and Redwing IR in the same size, which one is wider and longer?
    I've heard many people said that at the same size, Redwing is slightly longer and wider than Grant Stone. However, in your video, it seemed like that Grant Stone is the one that is actually longer and wider.

    The Diesel's are better than the Truman's and the Iron Rangers that you have. $380 for what they offer is a good deal. I have 3 pairs of Grants Stones. 2 pairs of Diesel's and a pair of the Ottawa.

    Good on you for avoiding paying taxes. If Americans only knew how wicked our government is, we could all stand together and refuse to pay taxes. According to the law, income tax is totally voluntary, but they like to keep that a secret, and the criminal IRS will go after anyone who dares not pay.

    • @mrschuyler
      @mrschuyler 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The tax he is referring to is a sales tax, not an income tax. Oregon, home of the Trumans, has no sales tax at all.

      @@mrschuyler My point was more trying to show the criminality of the government. All taxes are theft, but to illegally prosecute people for not paying income tax, when it is entirely voluntary, just shows how the government and IRS are rogue.

      I agree, Truman is the best of the three- material and insole leather.

    • @wabio
      @wabio หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Truman's are the most robust of the three. They are built like tanks.....especially if you get a leather that's 6 oz or higher. They are almost on par with the White's MP Sherman or Nick's Americana with the biggest difference being GY welted instead of stitchdown.
