Breeze was born to be who she is. Her skin tone may change and it may not. My kids are grown and still don't look black. (Hair included) My sisters kids as well and they still have blue eyes and are in their 40's. She will know who her parents are. Blowing kisses to those two beautiful babies. 😘😘

Torie, my daughter is 35 years old. I'm Black and my daughter is half-Caucasian. My daughter looks nothing like me. To this day, people can't believe we are mother and daughter. It used to bother me, but now, I laugh. Eventually, you will ignore these people. What matters is that you and Travis continue to be great parents. Everything else, let it fly over your heads.

When things like this happens it useless to tell them the truth because they can’t comprehend it. Belief is so powerful that it causes wars. Breeze is your beautiful daughter and a joy to you and your family. Love your family and enjoy your babies because they grow up so quickly. Teach them the ways of this world and to love themselves. Tory, get used to it. I’ve been followed in the mall by a security guard. My baby mixed but darker than breeze, and I was followed. I was starting to panic because I thought he was calling the police on me. I could literally feel my anxiety kicking in. I thought I was going to have to fight for my baby. 😅
One can't not be affeected by such. I'd be too. You're the best mommy and daddy for all your children and no one can be better parents to your children than you two. Dark skin or light, YOU are the mom, YOU birthed her after carrying her for 9 months. God saw YOU fit to mother those children and NOONE ELSE. ❤

Torie, as long as you know you are breeze’s mom, that’s all that matters. They could have just, “wow, your baby is adorable!” When I see a baby, I just see the cute little baby! I have had people come up to me and question me about my own children. When my kids were little I used to be asked if all three of my three kids were from the same father🙄

Hi Travis and Tori. I know exactly how you feel about people asking if you're baby sitting and it's your child. I got the same reactions with both of my boys. My boys are mixed as well. It made me feel some kind of way too. Now my boys are grown, I still get asked if they are my kids. I am part Cherokee Indian and African American and their father is Caucasian.

I was the same color as Breeze and had a father Torie's complexion and my mom was a light skinned black woman. I ended up looking more latino - tanned skin. People would come up to me and speak that language. My brother was Torie's complexion and my sister ended up being light like my mother. My great grandfather was white so I would like to do that DNA to see where I come from. So have a 3rd child that may end up looking like me. LOL

Tori, I had the same problem with my son in the hospital. My son had darkish blue eyes an very light in complexion, the nurses kept thinking I was a surrogate mother. I was young so I cried for awhile. Your babies are beautiful and you and your husband have a beautiful family.

Hey there! When my son was a baby people would look at me and his dad thinking he wasn’t ours because he had fair olive color skin and light brown eyes and hair, and we have melanin skin. My biological dad was mixed and my ex husband’s grandmother was mixed. My son is 36 now so that lets you know how long people can say the weirdest things. I was told such a ugly mother to have such a beautiful baby. I was looked at down the nose. It is very hurtful. I just learned to ignore them. Keep you head up. You owe no one explanation. My grandfather was from spaniard descendants .so my father was fair skinned with blue eyes, several of my nieces and nephews have blue and green eyes, including one of my daughters, one of my sisters has very fair skin,she married a very dark Hispanic guy, both their children have fair skin and green eyes, when their father used to take them out,they never believed him that those were his kids, and he used to get frustrated, and this was back in the 80s! So don't let people make you upset you, what matters is you know they are your children

Im going to be honest i have thought i repeat thought a black lady with white baby was a baby sitter but like Travis said i kept it to myself i didn't go up to her and ask her its none of my buisness ❤
My husband is German and Polish, I am Black American. I was going to the subway here in New York and a young woman passed by me and my son and said, "how did that happen?" I wanted to yell at her, "TAKE A BIOLOGY CLASS!!!" People are so ignorant. My husband's genes are stronger than mine, so my son turned out very fair, reddish brown eyes and brown hair. He also has a few freckles, but so did my mother. When mixed babies are born, they tend to change as they grow older, the complection gets darker, the hair get's curly and blue eyes turn brown, green or hazel. Sometimes, the changes don't happen if the one parent has more pure, stronger genes. In the end, it's all beautiful.❤

Torie I had that same thing happen to me I am a black woman my husband is of East Indian decent, my children look like East Indian straight out of Indian. My gene are not prevalent at all. Some people are just bold face and put their ignorance on full display. The first time these two women said that to me I was very young , I retorted I got the stretch marks to prove it! laugh out loud. They said they didn’t believe me. I must be the nanny.! I was vexed, my husband said overlook that kind of ignorance, you know that he is yours.😃 what they think don’t matter. Throughout the years I’ve dealt with some of that but mostly people will just see how handsome they are in. They must look like their dad. Oh yeah, I can see a little bit of you in them I just smile and keep it moving.
