I personally think that the comedy category is related to the aspect of how it makes people feel, especially when people are under stress, they need to be entertained with something they can laugh about to increase dopamine, which is the feel-good energy when one feels down.
I think comedy appears often because people have no idea how hard it is to make other people laugh. 💁🏻♀️ I am an actress, and we performers know to make someone cry it’s easier than to make someone laugh. Comedy is a very serious business! 😉 Maybe, maybe, maybeee... you could do try in such things as TikTok? if you copy and repeat some jokes it could be easier... but I really think it is very hard to make money from stand up or something like that.
