OK -- I am about to start the install of the AL3 Pro on my 2012 Silverado -- What I am not clear on is --- Exactly where do you line up the 3M FOAM Seal Tape on the front bulkhead? Does it get laid onto the metal with an edge of the tape closest to the inside of the bed --- forward of the bed towards the back of the cab -- or down the center kinda splitting the difference of the width of the bulkhead surface? I sure could use your tip... (from this video -- it looks like you laid the 3M Foam so there is about a 1/4" edge reveal from the inside of the bed?) PS: on another point the instruction s I have say that the back latch brackets are mounted at 280/11" from the tailgate not the 7-3/4" you did here? Thanks in advance - Retired in KY (BTW --One of the Best video on the AL3 Pro install)
Hello! You are correct, lay it out on the bulkhead metal on the side closet to the bed (opposite of cab side). Once you get to the point where you put the top on and layout it out, that will tell you exactly where to mount the front bracket. Just be sure to have the cover exactly where you want it but remember if you don’t like your placement it is just a couple bolts to move the bracket. Best of luck and thanks for your kindness! Have an awesome day!
Just installed it. Looks good just need to see how much water gets in. Not sure about the seal where the tailgate meets. I know not water proof just need to see. Also how well it stays on at 55 to 60mph
This is definitely a major upgrade, the Gator SFX is more like a sail, flapping in the wind. I guess you learn what works for you. Thanks for the instructions, great looking rig.
❤ looks totally awesome
Thank you! Cheers!

Awesome cover man!
Thanks bro!! 🤜🏻🤛🏻😎
Thank you for the video. I’ve been looking for several days. Just purchased this one because it looks bad ass!
No problem and yes. I’m a huge fan!! 😎😎
Does the middle part of the tonneau cover lock too or you got go all the way to the glass for it to lock again
Hi there, only the front and back one latch. The tailgate is what locks it, with it firm at the tailgate the middle won’t lift up.
Your front bumper is awesome. Do you experience any tire rub?
Very little but none where the pumpers are.
What was the discount code used at checkout?

Awesome! I’m sure you’ll be very happy with it. Let me know!

@@TimBirke-qj8qk I’ve done several trips with mine at 80. No prob. Has rained a handful of times with no problems.
Been 2 weeks and love it. Great company, it went on sale after I purchased it and they gave me a credit for the difference. Awesome customer service
@@TimBirke-qj8qk that’s great news! Yes, I’ve enjoyed working with them as well.
Can you do a water test
That’s my plan! I wanna ride it for a couple weeks and do a deeper review with water test.
Heck yeah man keep us updated!
The Leer HF650 is way better!
Took that off to put this one on. Sitting in my garage, trust me! Do you have both? 😂
Leer is made in China. Our AL3 is made in America at our factory in West Seneca, NY

@@madhatter5331 Glad you like it, I’m very pleased with mine as well!
@@WorksportLtdany plans for a prop rod model like the leer? I've also noticed the leer has a cleaner latch and latches in the middle.
