This man is just amazing. And his puppets are astonishing. I never saw something with this much detail and precision. He truly is a master of his work. It is really sad to see that not more people enjoy this kind of art.
And this is why puppetry art is the best therapy for this times :) It's a honor to meet puppeteers like Joseph.
Your marionettes are still alive when strung alone. But the articulated movements goes beyond physique and connects soul, which in fact, is what an artist wishes to. Your controllers are even more complicated and itself a sculpture to be seen in an awe.
Being a puppeteer, I am enthralled to feel your passion for the puppets. Thanks for your such video.
'This is all they are, is what you're seeing'. Perfectly sums this art form up.
What a genius master of puppetry! Such exquisite movements, his marionettes have soul.
Saw this wonderful show in the 90’s in Alaska, and again in VT in the early 2010’s. Still totally amazed by Mr Cashore’s art. These characters have taken permanent residence in my mind, through all these years, and I feel blessed for them. I truly and completely recommend the Cashore Marionettes - see this show. It will move you.
You have to see it to believe it.
I feel so fortunate to have seen this a few years ago. :)
I suspect Joe Cashore makes the most complicated marionettes in the history of Man.
I respect this guy.
Your hand work is amazing! The artistry on so many levels looks so satisfying and fulfilling! When you operate them, it's like playing a harp with one hand and a piano with the other. It looks unbelievable, but I've seen it with my own eyes now, so I have to believe it. Well done.
This guy deserves MacArthur genius award.

Marionettes for plays with cats?
I wonder what animals think of these? It would be cool to see domestic cats' and dogs' reactions to his marionette shows.
perhaps some interrested people could work together Everyone specialised onto one task.
Writing a script, making drawing, manufacture the marionette and others performl usind modern methods, like cutters, cad, cam etc. all could use their best skills
