This was definitely one of the best ones ever. He actually has a sense of humor though obviously quite shy. Also Clint Eastwood was quite early directing his own movies.
Kevin Costner is one of those Hollywood actors that is just so down to Earth, he is not full of himself, and he is, to me, a role model for people like Keanu Reeves. I heard Ricky Gervais saying that before the show Kevin Costner told him he was nervous and felt uneasy about appearing on the show. Maybe he is not used to this sort of talk shows as they don't have many of that calibre in the US. True. But the moment he goes out there he just flows after a bit of a shaky start. Dances with the wolves is a legend. in a way he was a pioneer as not too many people had done producing and acting a main character at same time...at that time . Now it is a common thing.. I remember when Whitney Houston died him being so genuinely broken and made himself available to all who looked for him to share stories with her and their closeness. Costner's nervousness is understandable. American talk shows aren't anything like Graham's. Also, American talk shows are almost solely vehicles for hyping each guest's latest project. While Graham does that also, it's not the sole focus of the show. Graham seems to really care about getting to know something about his guests. Costner was probably worried about how to handle the differences. Caroline Lowe ... Three words, Nasty comment...and you even had to edit it. My word, so you’re a mean spirited person who has trouble putting 3 words in the correct order. Look at yourself in the mirror, do you see a mean person? Because that’s how you’re portraying yourself. What’s the point in saying what you did? Explain it because I really would like to know. Kevin Costner was nervous, poor thing. I liked him though-super honest and humble. That Meghan blew me away! She sang the whole thing live & it sounds no different than when on the radio. Bravo!
Not sure if you were being sarcastic about Meghan. She hid her mouth with microphone the whole time she sang. I'm 80% sure she was lip-synced. Unless Graham Norton has super duper great audio system. No breath no shaking caught.

I’ve never been a fan of Costner’s, he hasn’t much range. I mean, Robin Hood was supposed to have been from Nottingham in England, not Iowa. Every character I’ve seen him in, it was the same delivery.
It’s a bit more than that, Umair, like cadence and infection. He’s supposed to be one of the elite actors in Hollywood, but he’s always the guy in Field of Dreams. Even in Waterwold, I kept expecting him to beach the catamaran to tend his cornfield, or throw a baseball to a ghost, or befriend Native Americans, or patrol the dirt streets of Tombstone. He’s the same guy in every movie.
Ricky has a good point in the end, this is how chat shows used to be where they actually had real conversations and not banal chitchats and trying to plug their new movie every 5 seconds...
why does it look like he is looking for clues? his eyes keep darting to the left - that's rather unusual for him, he looks either at his convo partner or in his glass ... *shrug
18:27 -- but Helen Mirren shouting at you to come over - man, she is gorgeous NOW, and she was a SMOKNG HOTTIE back in the day - who WOULDN'T go over if Helen Mirren is shouting at you to come over?
I remember Helen Mirren from a little ol' movie from back in the day called "Excalibur" also starring one Captain Picard as a noble trying to pull Excalibur out of the stone, and Gabriel Byrne, and even Liam Neeson.
This episode shows the difference between UK and US talk shows. I can't think of one US host who would give Kevin the time to tell his stories. In the US most questions are sent out beforehand so no spontaneity

@Margaret Gust He's a comedian. That's what a comedian does, nothing to do with ego.
The world is full of mean types, I usually ignore them, just this once I want to know why.
Ricky Gervais' laugh it the best. I LUV IT
Loved Ricky " it's tough being an actor ......soldiers !!!"
the balls convo cracks me up, eric bana sound like borat lol
After the clip of the movie at 28:23 Ricky looks so flattered and kinda cute when he gets huge applauds form the audience and also Graham..
I truly, honestly love this dude to bits, and it makes me so happy to see him happy
He's one of my favorite people I see on the internet
The Dances with Wolves story... Lovely!
always loved K,Costner, now i just adore him as a person. absolute legend
American, Scottish, English, Australian on one couch!
Irish host 😊
Hearing about Hawkings wanting to know about Whitney - one of the greatest scientists wanting to know about one of the greatest singers - that was cool :)
@@budle89 You should watch meghan's carpool karaoke with James Corden. She has amazing breath control and a very clear tone when she sings. Yes she's using a backing track but im near certain she's not lip-synching.
@@stellawalker8809 singing while dancing is very different than when you are sitting down.
@@budle89 watch any of her other performances standing up and dancing then. She sings just as well and you can hear her breath so she's not lip synching
Ewan forgetting his lines in Star wars was hilarious the laughter is so good
Dame Mirren is elegant, articulate, funny, and absolutely beautiful! OMG, the accents of all.
Kevin Costner's story about Michael Blake writing "Dances With Wolves" was amazing.
Trouble is he didn't write it. The book was written by a Canadian - Farley Mowat who got no credit here whatsoever.
@@gastonlaberge2119 sorry, not the same…Farley Mowat wrote “Never Cry Wolf”. Completely different.
@@gastonlaberge2119 Very wrong! Michael Blake was asked by Costner to adapt his award winning novel Dances with Wolves to a screenplay!
BEST TALK SHOW EVER!!!
Loved this episode always love Graham, especially with Ricky Ethan & Eric, Helen just a gem & wicked story from Kevin so good thanx ❤🇦🇺✌🏼
Eric Baner!! Beautiful specimens!!
WOW Obi won, The Incredible Hulk, Ricky Gervais and a Grand Dame who is one hell of an assassin (red and Red2)
Today's couch was like group therapy. What a fabulous one! Kevin no doubt was the hero.
DearMake -- Today's couch was Superstar Central!
I’ve never been a fan of Costner’s, he hasn’t much range. I mean, Robin Hood was supposed to have been from Nottingham in England, not Iowa. Every character I’ve seen him in, it was the same delivery.
@@brianb.1883 so he can't do accents. Is that what you're saying?
It’s a bit more than that, Umair, like cadence and infection. He’s supposed to be one of the elite actors in Hollywood, but he’s always the guy in Field of Dreams. Even in Waterwold, I kept expecting him to beach the catamaran to tend his cornfield, or throw a baseball to a ghost, or befriend Native Americans, or patrol the dirt streets of Tombstone. He’s the same guy in every movie.
Infection = inflection
*shrug
I was so hooked listening to all of Kevin Costner's stories, wow!
18:27 -- but Helen Mirren shouting at you to come over - man, she is gorgeous NOW, and she was a SMOKNG HOTTIE back in the day - who WOULDN'T go over if Helen Mirren is shouting at you to come over?
I love Helen Mirren. She’s a phenomenal actress, but funny and very down to earth, and a true timeless beauty aging naturally and gorgeously.
Wow s h e is good actress, had us all fooled!
I always remember first seeing her in prime suspect, and I was so impressed by her.
She's the real queen.
I remember Helen Mirren from a little ol' movie from back in the day called "Excalibur" also starring one Captain Picard as a noble trying to pull Excalibur out of the stone, and Gabriel Byrne, and even Liam Neeson.
She is gorgeous - decided not to have children - intelligent to boot & bc of that has a stunning figure.
love rickys laugh
4 years old but what an excellent episode.
As if the couch wasn't full of star power already....KEVIN KOSTNER!
i love how all these huge A list hollywood stars are so humbled by Kevin Kostner
NovumVitae it’s Costner dimwit

Nice correction, Karoline 😏👏
I love this program! I find it more entertaining than anything else on t.v..
Eric Bana is a beautiful man.
I've been watching these non-stop and enjoying it very much. I agree whole-heartedly.
Great couch among all. That Eye in the sky was terrific movie and also quite sad.
This episode shows the difference between UK and US talk shows. I can't think of one US host who would give Kevin the time to tell his stories. In the US most questions are sent out beforehand so no spontaneity
like helllo Jimmy Fallon hahaha
Dances with Wolves was amazing. I cried my eyes out and I seldom cry at movies.
