There is absolutely nothing about her portrayal as a frantic, desperate mother that doesn't ring as completely authentic. Stellar performance.

Important fact to remember is Stranger Things season one happens over one week as a continuous timeline, you mentioned Wynona wearing the same cloths and the reason is its literally the next couple of days since Will disappeared

This was always one of my favorite episodes because Joyce using the lights to communicate with the other dimension reminded me of Poltergeist (one of my favorite movies ever) lol. Also I definitely think it was Nancy's first time since she kinda fits into trope at first. I can't say I disagree about Jonathan taking the photos. I know he was looking for Will but that picture of Nancy was unnecessary. 😅
I have never seen poltergeist. And yeah, Hugh Hefner taking those pictures of Nancy…Jonathan went easy on him.
@@PatrickStewart316 I figured lol I definitely recommend it though. The family aspect of it is really great and it's not overly scary. You can handle it. 😋 And yeah some people still hold that against Jonathan but I think he redeems himself.

Also nice to see someone look at the camera scene in a reasonable light. There are some valid criticisms that can be made about Steve's behavior, but that was definitely not one of them.
As someone who grew up in a small Indiana town in the 80s and had some experiences with peeping Toms, I have no sympathy for Jonathan in this particular situation and actually commend Steve for how reserved he was in how he handled it.
I also commend the girl who saw them for actually saying something. Good call out.
Don’t let him fool you, season 4 has the scariest horror. Season 3 has good horror too. I guess you get more of a break in season 2.
