A little bit about the place where the video was shot: It's in Western France near a town called Port-d'Envaux, close to the Bay of Biscay coast. 170 km (105 mi) South of Nantes, 110 km (68 mi) North of Bordeaux and 51 km (32 mi) South-East of La Rochelle. Hoping that I'm not jumping to unfounded conclusions, I believe it's an old disused quarry where stone for sculptures has been broken for quite some time. Some 20 years ago a couple of sculpture artists came there with the intention to start making sculptures again, but not in the old traditional way of breaking off a big block of stone and move it away to somewhere else. Instead they started to chisel out the sculptures right there, on the face of the rock, and the finished work stays where it is. Today it is an open air museum (free of charge) where anyone can come and see the art that has been created. New artists can come there to be inspired and even learn how to do it, since between the months of May to September at least 5 and sometimes up to 8 sculpture artists take up residence in the area and continue their work. It's even possible to take Master Classes from them, or you can just sit down and watch while they are working. The site plan has about 50 pieces of art listed so there's quite a lot to look at. It is indeed a very unique and different place in the world. Beautiful and epic song 😍😍!! Lyrics are about Sophocles' play "Antigone" if I'm not mistaken. Marion did a perfect job on the writing 🌟💜. Songwriting by Martin is just outstanding 🤩🤩🤩!! It's so true what you said Pedro, they all four are a bunch of lovely 🥐🇨🇵💜.
Discovered this band last week. Brutality mixed with poetry and symphonic artwork. I have seen Jinjer, Angela Gossow, Alissa and some more but never heard such devastating female growls as this lady produces. She can be in the emergency telephone list of every death metal band with a male growler, to replace their singer if he is lost, incapacitated, indisposed or drunk while he should be in a show. while those cleans are almost etherical. And the almost baroque riffing and shredding is....phenomenal. Amongst all that sculpture in that quarry, they themselves are the biggest artists 🤘and 🔥. When I would be Antigone, I would be very pleased when I would have been commemorated in such a way after more then 2000 years.
I watched this a few days ago and the album went from "wishlist" to "pre-order on the next bandcamp Friday" instantly. Also Anti-go-ne is a figure from Greek mythology, which goes a way to explain the scenery.
To me, actually, they sound like the French answer to *Stormlord* from Italy, awesome! Those also feature this weird mixture of Power and Melodeath with a bucket of Black Metal in there, especially on their album _Mare Nostrum!_
I know that I promised to reduce my usage of TH-cam in order to save electricity & by doing so help fight climate change a little bit, but I just couldn't resist watching you react to this amazing French band. P.S. The greatest thing that France has given to the world is the French Revolution, which should be repeated in many parts of the world. P.S.S. Already pre-ordered the new album.
@@gorgewashington1216 What's your point? The internet still uses energy that's mostly produced by burning fossil fuels, which makes climate change worse. Even if I wouldn't use any electricity in my home while using the internet, I'd still contribute to making climate change worse.

Marion’s technique to switch voices is absolutely impressive.
Watched them live last Sat. Was completely in awe at their quality. Easily top 5 bands I've ever seen live
