Nice to see you in my home town of Kerrville. Enjoyed the Westcliff video. Was there a few years ago for a visit. Have traveled with you on most of your video and enjoyed them all across the USA. Just keep on truckin'!
I love your videos, I feel like I am right there with you. Plus they are informative; I think I shall have a new respect for trucks on the roads going forward.
@@ridingshotgun1251 ...think I'd like to get my CDL. Can't do it for a few years, kids are still at home. Will put me in my late '50s and would be a big career change. I know some drivers would call me crazy for saying that but I'm in good health and would like to get out on the road.
I been driving in snow for over 30 plus yrs here in PA in the mountains in Somerset country ,I drove thru blizzards and lake effect snow (which is horrible ) ,but my only advice to people is don't rush ,go slow ,don't tramp on brakes (worse thing to do ) but going up hills you have to move it . which after watching your videos you say the same type things ,,I do enjoy your videos ,I never travel anywhere and this is how I see places I will never get to see . thank you for taking me on the ride ,in riding shotgun woot :) .

People that tries to tell other people their business are people that can't run their own business we do not have to tell you how to drive we never driven a big truck and you are doing just fine may the Lord bless you and your wife
Nice vid of my town. Some SA drivers do suck when it comes to driving in rain/snow/ice. Most of it due to not keeping their faces off the phones. You drove by Eisenhauer Rd. (23:25) .. had you turned there and gone west a bit, we could have said "Howdy" 🤠from my workplace. Enjoy the vids, especially the scenic/snow ones. Safe travels. Side note: There are actually 3 In/Out burgers. They're a'ight. 🍔
Next door to your Kerrville stop is one of the best restaurants "Del Norte " great food been there since 1955 .. my home town - thats Harper road u got off & back on interstate 10 .
I forgot to ask, what is the name of that burger place? Not InandOut but the other one? Have you tried BurgerIM? What is the names of some good Mexican food places in TX?
MMMike...¿como esta amigo? In days gone by it used to downpour in S.Antonio. which is semi-arid! FYI: Houston Metro is now over 7 million & DFW Metroplex is just slightly larger! Thks for good ride & commentary! Be safe! Peace!
Wish you could put a camera to look behind your truck to your trailer to appreciate how you park and turn and back up, I find this video very interesting, but it makes me very anxious about looking at the rear. Thanx.
I'm from San Antonio and people drive stupid. Especially when it rains... Its always like big news....sometimes our news media goes overboard reporting rain. Yeah we do have bad drivers..I love to ride with you....love the scenery. People can just be mean coz that's just like what they live off of..,ignore them and keep rolling.
your doing fine, haters are jealous.....your snow driving ability is right up to par more jealous ppl.....I like your comments makes me laugh but your spot on..
I get a kick out of negative comments. That’s fuel for your mind. Atleast how I see it, kinda odd but is what it is. Let them blah blah blah on. But on a serious note, those trucks are nice, much better than my Pete in a turning radius prospective. I would’ve never turned around in that Lott. I pull a 48 ft bulk tank. Awesome driving, when you do something long enough, you know your limitations aka (driving in snow). Every truck an driver is different. The only comment I have there is don’t go outside your comfort zone. Thanks for the video!
I love driving in blazzards, white outs, I love the rush..I live in North centrual Ohio , so we have had our snow days/weeks lol ..I have never been stuck, I have never had an accident of any kind..Yet people are always telling me..your day is coming..its like they hope` I have an accident of some type..idiots.. I have driven in 3rd level storms where it is against the law to be on the road, haha.you just have to know how to drive in the condition your in.. I have driven with front wheel drive, 4x4, and rear wheel drive..its other people I am more concern with..lol / I use to storm chase to...you gotta love the weather..You sir are doing fine, just keep on keeping on.. :))
You doing a good job driving you're really cautious you sometimes obey the speed limit but that can be you never know from state to state you drive good in the snow I watch a lot of videos where tow truck drivers have to pull trucks out of the ditch you're up over out of the gutters and all that stuff just tried the way you want to drive the way you feel safe these people they're telling you you're too cautious with like I just said go buy that
I'm not a truck driver, so don't know anything about trucking. Although I no longer drive due to my visual disability, when I did driver, drove in all kinds of road conditions, so know how it is to drive in snowy conditions, and can only Imagine what it must be like in a semi? On the issue of driving hours, I wouldn't mine seeing a vid explaining how long you truckers are aloud to drive for and if varies from state to state? also what;s that beeping I hear ever so often in your vids?
mcibus2000 the beeping is a warning that our truck is closing the distance to a vehicle ahead of us. The closer we get, the faster the beep. Mike has to either slow down, or move over and pass.
Mike, I love watching the snow video's. You drive like a lot of us...confident. It's the follow the leader people that drive me "NUTS"....or the sheep people that are doing the bitching. Keep doing what your doing...except the singing....LOL !
Hi Mike, If people don't like the way you drive it's simple, don't watch the videos. A friend told me, You can get 10 positive comments and 1 negative and it is the negative one that will stay in your mind I was sitting here feeling crummy until I watched Riding Shot Gun and it picked me up. Thank you I look forward to the next drive with you. Peace
Mike. Whenever they are critics. Just tell them to come and take the wheel. All of those PERFECT people who ridicule, and complain are just jealous because they aren't able to prove how PERFECT they think they are. Otherwise. Just tell them "KMA"...Thanks.
I can tell you this about Kerrville, it's a haven for retirees with plenty of money. The Exxon Oil people flock there and it's expensive. Don't let that small Hill Country town image fool you. BTW, I live in for the past 38 years and all of the Hill Country is cool and picturesque, but it don't cater to the once upon a time free spirits it use to. Just saying . Happy Motoring!!!
Just watched a video about the hottest towns in America and San Antonio was near the top of the list. Now you're telling us its only 43 degs. The locals must be well wrapped up
I laughed when you first started as I thought you were saying a joke about "hill country" of TX. A few more minutes in, I do see it is rolling hills...nice. I promise I won't criticize your driving again. I am a horrible back seat driver these days. I hate to be on I80 anymore. When did LA traffic move up to Northern CA?....it keeps getting worse. I don't go out much. Now that I am retired we love staying at home. We get culture shock when we go out on the busy highway. In CA there is plenty of a#$hole drivers. You do have excellent driving skills, especially in the snow. I just cringe when I notice things. Oh and I hate those cement blocks on the highway. They freak me out but I see they don't bother you a bit. We need some of that rain. Maybe next week. Oh and the accidents after the first rain I am sure you know is from people not slowing down as the oil on the roads come up with the rain. People in cars should learn to slow down on the first rain. You have big tires that grip the road.
@@oldlady6229 These are found also on main roads as well as construction. Those concrete barriers are known as Jersey barriers or K-rails. These were developed in New Jersey many years ago, at one of the universities. Yea he does drive in some tight places, doesn't he? Lol
I've never driven a truck, but I can tell you are doing it wrong! Just kidding, but seriously I saw a show where the Italians has placed a cannon on top of a mountain during WWI and they were explaining how they got it up there. The guy said when it was around 32 degrees the snow was wet and it was like dragging it through mud. When it was really cold the snow was dry and it was like dragging it through sand. I immediately thought of you when he said that. Made me laugh thinking they could have gotten you to narrate for them. I have never driven a truck, but always wanted too since I watched Movin On when I was a kid. Do it to it like Sonny Pruitt.
I Have my own GOLDEN RULE for all of the critics. I tell them. "When you promise to pay all of my bills, house me, feed me, and give me everything I need. THEN, and only THEN will I do whatever you say!" "Until then, and Until You agree to do that. Shut up.
I watch videos of crashes a lot. It's amazing how many people don't know how to drive. They should make people take a IQ test before they get there license. The roads wouldn't be near as crowded. Be safe. Peace !!!
