This is my favourite ever gig, his voice is epic at this time and you can see why his voice was gone by the late 90s. Nobody can keep that up for too long. I'm amazed he's made a creditable comeback voice wise. Bravo liam 👏
Thanks you two for reacting to this brilliant b-side. This was also a fantastic gig that was televised on ITV. (Not live of course!) I agree that Tony McCarroll was great on drums and was more Punk rock than the later drummers. You two are the best Oasis reactors out there. Love from rainy England 🏴❤️
Headshrinker was a derogatory term Noel used to describe an ex girlfriend of Liams. This is early punky Oasis & it’s magnificent. Tony McCarroll the original drummer was a lot to do with that punky sound
@@samechick haha Not sure if you’ve presented ‘The Drugs don’t work’ by Richard Ashcroft/Verve to Dave? Think you and Dave will enjoy it. This acoustic version is pretty epic th-cam.com/video/FLbsciv73D0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ynu5g3Q_L3j2sg54
Love the fact you've reviewed this great b-side, it's one of my favourite oasis songs. Noel wrote this song about a crazy girlfriend Liam had at the time. A headshrinker is a very annoying person, basically.
Was going to suggest this one! You guys should check don't look back in Anger from Argentina. The crowd was amazing as well as the performance. It's an acoustic version. Think you've already reacted to the electric version.
Can you react to these Oasis songs for your next Oasis videos; 1. Who Feels Love (Wembley 2000, FIRST Night) 2. Lyla (Manchester 2005) 3. I Am The Walrus cover (Berlin 2002) 4. Cast No Shadow (Maine Road 1996, SECOND Night)
That performance of Who Feels Love? On Familiar to Millions is the definitive version in my eyes. It’s absolutely epic and perfect. Psychedelic greatness.
@samechick Yes I agree. You guys reacted to the live version of for what its worth by Liam, but it should be the video. And you guys should also check out Dead to the world, the video.
Love this track and like Noel as a lifelong Slade fan I would love to see Noddy singing this in his prime. Great reaction as usual. Shame there aren't many live Slade videos about like when they played Reading in 1980 when Ozzy pulled out and it relaunched their career and proved they were one of the greatest live rock bands.
Slade have not long released that Reading 1980 gig as part of live boxset. There’s also a live gig at Hucknall Miners Welfare which is my home town and literally 5 minutes walk from my house. They used to use the welfare for warm up gigs, someone bootlegged that particular gig and Slade gave it an official release. 👌🏼
Slades rock credibility issues with critics was caused by Merry Christmas and Dave Hill dressing like a Christmas turkey (I think Noddy said that) but with albums like Play It Loud and the live albums they were far far better as a rock band than Noddys pension plan Merry Christmas
@samechick Yes, they are known for having AMAZING B-sides that would be most bands hit singles. songs like Talk Tonight, Stay Young, The Masterplan, Acquiesce, Sad Song, Listen Up, Half The Word Away, Step Out, Idler's Dream, etc.
My son walked into our lounge just as I put this reaction on TH-cam on the telly and he looked at me like I was shot away (mad). Then he asked me if I always wave to you when you first say, "hello". I just said that it would be impolite not to. Oh gawd, he thinks I'm mad enough already!😂 When Dave said at the beginning it was similar sounding to the Rolling Stones I always thought it to be more like a mixture of The Kinks and Sex Pistols. Low and behold that was mentioned a short time later. Great minds think alike eh?
I think Noel never liked Tony McCarroll, the original drummer, personally. The live shows that I enjoy the most are the early ones with Tony on drums, they feel powerful. Definitely Maybe songs sound good too. I don't have a clue of drumming, but if Dave likes him, it has to be something good enough.
It was a clash of personalities, tony was the only one in the band with a kid and steady gfriend and a house etc, he wasnt as into the party lifestyle as the rest. And yes him and noel never saw eye to eye.
@@samechick Noel said it was about an annoying girl that would follow the band around everywhere and was too invasive. I think was a girlfriend of Liam's.

A cocaine supernova isn't the best thing for vocal chords
"I take cocaine in the pouring rain"
Yes! Another upload and another Oasis little-known classic. Best Oasis reviewer out there. Thanks. #ITakeCocaineInThePouringRain
Yet another kick-ass Oasis B-side by Noel Gallagher :D Criminally underrated tune

You should listen to oasis all around the world at gmex 97. Probably their most complete performance
Yeah I agree
When I listen to this song, so does the rest of my street 😅
You're the best neighbor!

Indie Motorhead. Yeah, they were that great back then.
This is a banger. She's right a shrink a head doctor.

That's just not true.
@@samechick it looks like you’re disagreeing with me but, I’m assuming there’s a deleted comment you’re replying to haha.
Oasis were so fucking good live.
Great tune!! Some great solo tunes from them are “For what it’s worth” music video for Liam. And “Dead to the World” for Noel 🤙🤙
