He's a credit for what he's achieved. Done fantastic things in the world of sport and for Britain. Also you can see the hurt in is face wish him and is family all the very best.
People can now see why he is so driven to achieve. These situations in life can light a spark that sometimes aren't even known to the individual, but which becomes a daily pursuit to fill a void. When I was a teenager I had major brain surgery (fortunately, a total recovery), but afterwards I was bullied and teased at school. However, this lit a spark which continues to this day and I've acheived many successes in life athletically, academically and financially. At the age of 52, I'm still driven to excel at distance running and I'm proud to say I'm (still) a sub-90 for the half-marathon and a Boston Qualifier.

The previous government in the UK wanted to deport illegal immigrants and asylum seekers to Rwanda, although this was stopped in July after our election. Also I was kinda joking since most of the British public sincerely respect Mo Farah and there would be serious uproar if the government were to try and deport him. The relative probably illegally tried to get him in to the UK without calling attention but for his eventual betterment, but most likely with the full knowledge of the family. We are horrible people if we look at people being trafficked as the criminals. They have honest intentions and would be so grateful to a country that offers them safety and welcome. We need to seriously reconsider our opinions about immigrations from fearmongering. The UK is a desired destination for so many refugees and trafficked individuals because they see us as sympathetic to suffering globally. I like to believe this is true but we don't act like it sometimes. The reality is accepting trafficked people and refugees does not negatively impact normal British people, they contribute to the betterment of the UK as a whole.
You are so wrong. The answer to modern slavery isn’t selling the modern Fairytale. Important questions like what happened to the family who trafficked him. Why he doesn’t reclaim a life he say was stolen. If people weren’t so quick to call everyone who ask questions racist may be they would have realized he was who they pretended he was. It not fear mongering to ask why he didn’t return home when it was discovered if there was a family who loved and missed him. Victim yes. But that doesn’t mean the answer should alway be asylum.
Sympathetic, yes, especially when it comes to receiving benefits, and living in hotels. They have it a damn sight more cushy than British homeless people, whom about a quarter of have served in our forces. But people like you don't give a shit about them. Are you getting in touch with the authorities saying you are willing to take even a single trafficked person into your home? Even if you don't have a spare bedroom, they could doss down in your living room floor or settee. Or are you lobbying your MP pleading with them to establish a refugee centre in your neighbourhood? Somehow, I rather doubt it. It certainly effects negatively on the burden to the taxpayer, especially of these straightened times. Most of them are poor, ill-educated, and the vast majority of them can barely speak a word of English. I have nothing against legal immigrants, whatever their colour, but they must have something to offer, and these people, almost to a person, don't.
Mohamed Farah you was not trafficked bro I don’t know about the story after you came to the UK. This Somali family gave you the opportunity to come to Europe, as a Somalian brother we all know how it works I won’t go into details. I wish you all the best in life some way some how you should thank the family who gave you this opportunity.

This makes me ask so many more questions. The main one is if the people who "took him in" have been held accountable for illegal trafficking of a minor? Devastating to hear his story. Although his ending is a positive one there are ones that are not. May he continue to heal from the past and inspire hope in others who are enduring similar fates.
Of course they haven’t, and the question who are they won’t be asked because it’s well known, and the media and government don’t want to create bad publicity for them. Now, if they were Russian, it would be headline news, but they aren’t, and so it will be ignored and buried

Even if he hadn’t achieved what he has it wouldn’t and shouldn’t matter, he was taken and bought here without him knowing why .. total support for a great man and a beautiful family . Good luck to him .

It's heartbreaking. Kudos to him for being on the journey to coming to terms with his life path. There are so many people behind closed doors who are suffering, whose stories will never be told here in the UK. He is a shining light of what is possible in the face of unbearable adversity. I wish him the best of times rediscovering his family and homeland and all the best for his future representing the UK as a bastion of opportunity, support, progress and success. Be gentle to those around you. It's impossible to understand what someone is going through. Always better times ahead.
So glad that his story has a happy ending. Unfortunately others don't have that, and many disappear off of the radar. By sharing his story he is shining a light on this situation and bringing awareness, it's hard to think that this kind of stuff still happens. It's an eye-opener

Why Rwanda if he's from Somalia 😵💫 He was knighted by the Queen in 2017, Sr. MO 😂😂😂
@uptee007 He was trafficked into the country and would've been considered an illegal immigrant. The previous government in the UK wanted to deport illegal immigrants and asylum seekers to Rwanda, although this was stopped in July after our election.
Also I was kinda joking since most of the British public sincerely respect Mo Farah and there would be serious uproar if the government were to try and deport him. He's probably got legitimate citizenship by now as well
It really doesn't matter if you were trafficked to me and more, you showed the world what a Somalian can do. More people know Somali people because of you and making Uk 🇬🇧 champions winning gold medal 🏅 becoming a legend in 2 countries and the world
I can’t imagine the strength it takes to be able to talk about this & go look for your family after all those years of separation.
The relative probably illegally tried to get him in to the UK without calling attention but for his eventual betterment, but most likely with the full knowledge of the family. I'm not one bit surprised. The great majority of long distance runners are living with some traumatic childhood experiences. I know!
@@failingstate maybe he didn't want to return home. Seriously, just stop. 🤦🏻♀️
