Pakistan’s interest has nothing to do with welfare of Kashmir or Kashmiris. It could not be the will of the people then or now. PKN does not grant that for its own people. Believes the elite knows the best. Their record of administering the Kashmiri Gilgit areas and people by admitting them to the constitution and self administration is abysmal. So then only reason why they are interested In Kashmir is that it’s important to India and Pakistan needs a perennial enemy to support disproportionate defense funding, power of armed forces which will die down moment there is no Kashmir issue and peaceful border. One other thing, Hillary Clinton’s snakes will bite the feeder.
Kashmir interest keeps the Pakistani military alive. Otherwise, they do not need such a large army and they will not have any job. This is purely in the interest of their military. The Pakistani common people are being sold this -Kashmir, Kashmir, Kashmir. This policy will split the country in 4.
