When ever my character gets cold and even tho I have a torch my character will eventually start freezing, its very annoying, how can I fix this? (This also happens when I use a small fire)
Pro tip: have a torch with you and put a way point at the exit of the cave so its easier to get out. I got lucky enough to have a cave vert close to my base but others might bot be so lucky!

You don't need knotroot to craft a uncommon (green) forest axe. It's 3 bones (from skeletons at night) and 3 wooden rods (from normal wood in the sawmill)

You need to upgrade your crafting bench to make an uncommon (green) quality forest axe to harvest this.
How do i upgrade my crafting bench?
You will have an option on the crafting bench to do so.

In the grasslands, can take some exploring to find some though, they aren't super common

When I cut it it just gives me regular wood or it won’t let me cut it at all

You can make cold resistance charms or spicy burger for cold resistance
