- Finally More Street Running Action In Ohio! Norfolk Southern Classic Locomotive Running Down The Middle Of The Street. Line Side Signal Comes On As Train Passes It. Weird Railroad Crossings With CSX & Norfolk Southern Trains. Radar Speed Check On Intermodal Train.
I went back to Franklin, Ohio for the 3rd time and finally got something moving on the street running track down the center on 6th Street. SD40-2 locomotive running long hood forward. It wasn't much but it was still pretty cool. I was walking as fast as I could walk while filming it so the video is shaky. You can see it crossing the huge bridge over the Great Miami River after it gets off the street.
I also went to a couple of other railroad crossings where CSX and NS run parallel. Check out the fast CSX trains and the NS local. I also used the radar device on the last intermodal train. It is at the Farmington Road railroad crossing between Carlisle and Miamisburg, Ohio. The line side signals for CSX are interesting. These block signals only go to green when the train is almost at it. On the other side it stays off until the locomotives pass it. I caught the light coming on as the train was passing it. Check that out. Have you ever seen a signal come on as the train is passing it? It wasn't even on until the locomotives were a few cars lengths past it.
On my way home I noticed that the CSX light went to green in Carlisle so I pulled over and waited. It was completely dark and I used my new camera to film this fast manifest. I was surprised how well the camera worked. What did you think of the night train? Which train was your favorite?
Don't Forget The Live Action Pets At The End Of The Video!
Filmed Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Excellent video 👍
Cool. Awesome trains , love the double stack trains.❤That book was interesting about parts of a locomotive. You show many interesting things on your videos than any other train channels. So thankful. Always so cool watching your videos Mr JT. 😊 Really nice new camera and always watching your sweet fur babies too. Be blessed with. A great day❤😊 Enjoyed.
Jawtooth! Merry Christmas Mr. Tooth!
Good to see the street running & local freight. By the way, good to see you have School buses over there.
I love the short trains!! Keep up the great work JT!
Fantastic catches and videos thank you Brian greatly appreciated
I’ll tell you one thing JT that new camera of yours is the best I’ve ever seen on nighttime videos and daytime videos but it really shines at night because you can see those trains so good so you got yourself a good camera there but anyway, my friend another awesome video and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Hi Jawtooth awesome video as alwayd..what is the camera you are using at night ? Its incredible !! Rgds Mike
On with the show. That camera does great at night. In daylight....not so much.
thanks for the videos this year JT. you and your family have a great Christmas.
Is this the location where you saw the lady engineer, this is a cool spot. Awesome job Brian those books are really neat.👍👍
Three hours way too long between trains.....Kind of like waiting at Folkston GA.
That Farmington Rd crossing is nice... there's even a comfy chair by the side of the tracks to sit in while you wait for the next one. 😆
My brother worked for Conrail out of Toledo. Then he worked on locomotives in Michigan. He also worked on signals. He later became a conductor and engineer.
Longtime no see Jawtooth.
Merry Christmas Mr. Jaw Tooth.Keep rockin' with the rails!
Good morning Brian and JT. The old Chesse System goes back in the day. Glad someone dropped those booklets off to you.. Merry Christmas to you and your family
Fantastic video JT! Great train catching!😊
Thanks for watching!
I remember when you were there before, and that bridge is an awesome shot there, Brian.
Got back last night from Lagos. Nigeria. Good to be home. jaw tooth. You have made my son so happy. He's never seen trains this big. He's not even one. He'll be one in January. He would get into his crying mode. And I'd show him the. videos from you. Put a smile on his face. He'd watch the whole video. Well, I made the mistake of doing someone else's video of trains. He threw a temper tantrum. until I put your videos on. Thank you. Happy holidays to you.
Awesome live action
Very cool video Mr jawtooth in the middle of the road is very nice not many trains come by but that’s so cool those buildings maybe be down for good anyhow have a great weekend and great ready for Christmas next week
I hope you'll mention the Pecos, TX disaster in an upcoming video and talk about the blue signs that are supposed to be posted at every crossing. Apparently this massive pipe was high-pointed across the UP mainline for 45 minutes and no one called the railroad to tell them about it. EVERYONE was so foolishly ignorant that they allowed the engine crew to die. There needs to be more public awareness of what to do when someone is stuck on the tracks.
I live 100 yards south of BNSF Red River Sub, from time to time I get up to five and six hours with no trains. Nice videos you put out JT. Keep them coming. Everybody have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The camera is doing great for night videos Awesome video
Thanks for watching
The GREAT Miami river just keeps flowing!😂
Awesome CSX day
Yes indeed!
Great shots.
I believe that first locomotive had a fouled Leslie horn that could sure use a tune up for Christmas!
Thanks for the GE anatomy of a locomotive 🚂 @ "17:30", well worth the wait at Christmas 🎄 ❤
JT, you do get in some awesome positions to capture these freight trains 🚆 bud, 👏, JB Hunt has a shed load of containers, every train video 📹 i seem to watch has his containers on a load, the trains come in different sizes engine & a tanker 😂, a fair bit of coiled steel there bud, great captures bud, especially with the sun 🌞 ☀️ setting 👍, well done with the night 🌙 capture bud 👍 great viewing 👍 👏
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✌
Good Morning Jaw Tooth. Excellent night shots. Your new camera is great. Love the mechanical bells and the trains that fly by. Have a nice day 😊🌈
Thanks for watching!
Nice 👍 good beautiful CSX train and so beautiful I am from Pakistan
Nice Job On catching those trains jaw tooth keep it up and be safe. While you are Doing your Railfanning fanning thing please and happy holidays
What kinda camera is it❓
Odd to see loco just chugging along alone, never mind it's in the middle of a street - thanks! 😊
Good videos
It's hard to believe that rusty old rail spur was part of a regional mainline at one time.
You guys need to watch JT's videos with top of the line earbuds because the bass is amazing from his camera!
I like the RR on the river across from a power plant and a large park on the other side. Hiking path goes right under the track on a corner of that park.
Thanks for watching!
When I was new, living in Franklin, I almost ran into an engine. Quite a surprise. Good times.
Hey, JT, it seems that there frequently is a small pile of ballast near grade crossings. Why is that?
I saw my first tank container on that first CSX train that was marked and wasn't food grade ethanol or wine. It was marked flammable 1268 which is "Petroleum distillates, n.o.s. or petroleum products, n.o.s." (n.o.s. - Not otherwise specified.) I've seen a lot with wine. From tank container, to paper container, to your home. lol
Sorry to hear about the houses at the end of the bridge. I always liked the blue one on the closest corner. An old house with an addition and additions usually made those houses cool and unusual inside.
Where I live if you pull out at night with your lights off I notice the police are pulling people over now instead of just flashing high beams like everyone else. Checking for DUI, I suppose.
Good morning Brian, I hope you’re morning is going good and I hope you’ve had a good week. I like watching theses street running 🚂. Have a good weekend my friend and Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thanks, you too!

NS L10 Middletown, OH to Springfield, OH Daily Turn
That's cool that someone hand u that rule book
Thanks for watching!
I noticed on the component placement diagram there's a sandbox on both ends. Is that where sand for sanding the rails is kept ?
How did they put the horn on the back and the lights on the back?
25:08 wow that was a noisy wheel
Where is all of that coil steel going?
I always wondered how the Miami River got into Ohio.
what steel mill are these coming from?
Good lord! how close is that power line to the tops of those containers when they go through there? Looks very close!
Thanks for watching!

My special needs son ilķe Train farm my girlfriend ilķe Train farm my mom ilke train farm Brother and sister ilke God John deere Dodgers Generators Army tank army Tage railroad equipment or train Companies Hippie merry Christmas new years 2025
Why sweat going to the mall and trying to find a parking spot when you can sit back with JT and see real action where it's hot. Since it's been awhile since we've seen a NS steel train CSX picked up the slack and ran one both directions. It's going to be interesting to see that Redevelopment is a restaurant on a corner will only add to traffic confusion. Maybe put up the lowest train density Park LOL.. For what's left of the power plant there might be a plan to convert a site that has a very good power supply into either a crypto Mining facility or a data storage facility that needs a lot of cooling and now companies are trying to locate them away from cities to keep down complaints regarding the noise they generate. Poor Chessie looked worried maybe she thought those manuals were notebooks on whether she was a good or naughty dog this past year
When you grow up living next to this track, you never stop to think how odd a train is going down the middle of the road. 😃
Thanks for watching!
