  • In this video I'll show you the easiest/fastest methods of creating these wet concrete/reflective floors in blender. You can also follow along in C4D, Maya, UE5, or whatever, although there may be some specific things you'll have to translate to your software. These general concepts should apply to whatever software though.

    The best thing about this guy doing tutorials is that his work is incredible. Not knocking others but you can't beat a tutorial from someone who has proven track record of doing incredible work. Thank you for sharing.

    Grabbing the roughness maps from other textures is a genius idea! I always just used my own noise maps, or grunge textures, but this is a huge extra “library” of noises I hadn’t thought of! Another great time saving tip!
    Looking forward to the emissions video!

    Best kind of tutorials. Not too short, not too long. Breaks everything down in a clear and concise way without over-explaining or getting into knowledge we don’t need. Hope to see more! Great job!

    for your first method what you can also do is, instead of using one plane use multiple planes. Create two UV maps one for the texture and one for some grunge overlay. Then you could drive the second UV map (for the grunge) to randomly offset every time you duplicate the object. So you have subtle variations across each duplication.

    Really great thank you! How is that cube lighting the scene? If I increase the emission of the material on the cube it doens't actually light anything other than the cbe itself. Unless I switch to Cycles but then it's significantly slower, in another universe compared to what we're seeing here.

    How do you make the light of the cube bloom on the surface but not everywhere?. if i turn the bloom off, it's so dark that i only see the reflection of the cube. With bloom on, it's everywhere. What settings do you use for the cube?

    Another way to break up texture maps when you tile them is to use two, and scale them differently so that they repeat at different intervals on the surface. Then you multiply or mix them before putting them through your colour ramp.

  • @PhantomWowfull
    @PhantomWowfull ปีที่แล้ว

    You can use first method and just use like a cloud texture to break the pattern with a mix RGB
