    This was definitely, without a doubt, one of - if not - my favourite night doing astrophotography. It was so amazing knowing how many people where joining in with this comet and how it was (quite literally) a shining beacon to unite people and a bit of good freaking news for once!

    Very nice Ruz! Bonus footage with so many targets :) Plus a glass lake on top of that, WOW! Love it, my man! Thanks for sharing!

      It really was a buffet of objects in the sky. I wish I had even more equipment to have captured it all! The still lake really helped make this photo, I'm happy the wind was down. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

    OMG to capture a comets reflection in a lake is a pretty big bucket list tick! Beautiful image mate, you've been crazy busy with you channel this weekend, but well worth it.

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mate tell me about it. We were shooting and we both reviewed the images and were adamant we could get the reflection. Out came laser pointers to figure out angular resolution and where we had to put the camera and test shots and all sorts haha. But I'm so chuffed with this image. Yeah, my channel is important to me, its a way to connect with so many like minded people. Trying to give as much content as I can without burning out! :) Got Thursday and Friday off - so expect more videos to be filmed haha

    We were out in the same night. The planet parade is just beautiful, and we've seen the same ISS pass. And I also parked in a non parking spot...
    This comet is a thing to remember, I feel🔥

      I fully agree with you Tim. It's so cool knowing so many people were looking at the same thing at the same time. Also that we caught the same ISS pass and both broke parking laws. Incredible night!

    Ruzeen this is Probably the best image I've seen of this comet congratulations, I was lucky enough this morning to see the comet with a pair of binoculars it was a stunning view which took my breath away.
    I managed to take a image using my iPhone, it's supposed to be clear here in York tonight hopefully I will get a decent image using my telescope.
    Clear Skies and stay safe Tam.

    Do you think that with a 150/750mm telescope and a dslr will I be able to fit it well in the view??

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it was this big with an 18mm camera lens. I think at 750mm you'l get a good view of the nucleus though and maybe some tail but I don't reckon you'd get the whole thing in

  • @I_Spaced_Out
    @I_Spaced_Out 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I may try my F1.4 50mm lens tomorrow morning. I have low expectations since the comet is so low, and the LP is soo bright right now in that part of the sky. There's also the problem with high haze from the Saharan dust and humidity mixing to create a nasty soup in the sky that exacerbates the light pollution.

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ooh 1.4 that'll give you some super short exposure times for sure. Hm do you think a filter could be useful for you when you next go out? That dust though yeah I think would definitely kill the clarity. Good luck though bud

    • @I_Spaced_Out
      @I_Spaced_Out 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AstroFarsography not sure about a filter. Could hurt the comet's brightness.

    I stumbled upon your video yesterday, 11 days later, after looking for Astrophotography GIMP tutorials.
    When you pointed from Capella to the comet I thought "heh, that looks familiar". And when you turned around to show Jupiter and Saturn, and especially Mars next to the Moon, I thought..."huh? wait a minute?". And then the ISS pass.... "whaaat!?".
    Only then I looked up the date, and saw that you were out at the exact same time as me. Except I was about 6 degrees east of you in the central Netherlands. I spent about 15 minutes photographing the comet, but then got all caught up in the planets.
    What you may not have seen, due to your location and the trees to your east, was that Venus was also rising bright in the east. It was a planet feast.
    I don't have a telescope, just a camera with a 200mm lense. A star tracker, but without a goto system, so pointing is a bitch. But for the first time in my life I photographed Titan :-).
    I've been watching some of your other video's. What a great stuff, I love your enthousiasm!
    Greetings from 6 degrees east ;-).

  • @birreboi
    @birreboi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't think I have seen a comet photo with a reflection of it in a lake, very nicely done (okay, good timing!). Might make me get up at 5.30am tomorrow. Neowise will be in northern sky for me and not too low.. just gotta hope for no clouds.

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you manage to get the comet? THanks for the comment. Yeah, planning plays a huge role in this type of astrophotography. Started with deciding I didn't want urban foreground, then Google Maps etc.

      @@AstroFarsography Hahh I totally get the having buddy with me to feel much better. Last week on one night when I went comet hunting I had my buddy with me. We went to one hill side on the edge of a massive field. Its between 1-2AM and suddenly I hear a lot of animals running toward my position exactly where I was set up. And I can't see them because the grass on the field next to me is so high. Like a damn scene from horror movie :D Just before they reached me they split into multiple directions and then I saw it was 5-6 hares. And then I was thinking that the only reason I managed to keep cool was that I had my buddy with me and I wasn't alone like most of times :D
