- Today’s video is my second Kiwi Co, Koala Crate review and unboxing for families like me based in the UK. We’ve been receiving these crates over the past 7 months now and in this video I unbox four of our latest crates, show you how we use the activities and I tell you what I love and what I don’t about the crates. This review is not sponsored and is an honest review of my opinion as a UK/British mum with a 2 and a half year old toddler.

Best review of kiwi which is unsponsored! Thank you. The international postage puts me off but will try one for six months. I cannot afford long term use while it comes from the USA. Hope a UK/eu company can make a similar subscription.

The space box looks fun, but I totally agree, an easy improvement would be for the company to use different materials to make the planets and such. Since American English/ British English came up in this video, I thought I'd ask you, is the 'i' in 'ing' (i.e. in a word like 'walking') considered a short vowel in British English? Our steam subscription box is made out of Hong Kong and the recent phonics story book they sent kept identifying ing as a short i sound...which was very confusing to me. I don't know if it's an error or a regional difference in English?
Thanks for watching Rachel! I honestly don't know about the vowel sound. I have never studied English phonics but I will definitely ask some of my teacher friends for you. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a regional difference. Sorry I couldn't be more help! 🙈

Hey Jacie. You may want to check out my woodland bedroom renovation video where I talk about his room and bed. My husband actually built his bed but yes, he can get in and out of it independently and he never falls out. It's perfect! 😂
The American English would annoy me to, books that reference fire engines as fire trucks even annoy me hist because thats just not what we call them. I've looked at getting them for my two but the price has put me off. Thank you for your honest review. If you haven't already seen mud and bloom I highly recommend you check them out its aimed at 3-8 years but you'll be able to judge how much Ben would get out of it 😊
I totally agree with the truck reference! 😂 The price, without the international shipping is totally reasonable but it does really get on the expensive side when you add that on! Mud and Bloom looks great and I'll definitely be checking them out. Thanks so much for the suggestion! ❤️
We use both terms. Tons of options In American language.
This is difficult to get in Romania, but it looks great. Soon I hope to have lovevery play kits :)

Hey! That's a crazy price and they are definitely not worth that. We stopped around a year ago now and I started using Mud and Bloom instead who are UK based. Really like their boxes but some activities are a little too old for Ben. 😀
Did you get the add-on book with your subscription? On the website, the book is another 7GBP added onto the crate so it would end up being almost 180GBP for the 6months with the books.
I didn't get the book add-on. These are the books that come in the standard crates. Sorry, I have no idea how good the book add-on is. ❤️
@@BairnandaBackpack I see. So the books you showed in the box were included? I didn't see that in the 'what you get' description of the box so I was a bit confused. Thanks!
@@radiumtam Yes, for me, the books are included and I pay around £18 a month. There isn't a book in every box but there has been in most. I hope that helps! 😊
@@BairnandaBackpack Yeh that's the same as how I saw it. I really hope that they would start manufacturing them in the UK or EU in the future because, besides the postage, it also creates a lot of carbon footprint for each individual box to be shipped from the US.
