The Last Holocaust Survivors: Never Again is a soon-to-be-released documentary feature. We discuss the incredibly dynamic survivors we've met and subjects ranging from artistic "representation" to the meaning and necessity of Chutzpah!
Johnny, from the BB generation, weighs in against the current emphasis on "representation" based on race and ethnicity, reminding us all of the fact that Jews have never objected to non-Jews playing Jews. For example, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, about whom he raves.
On the other hand, Rachel, a young woman, profoundly objects to (among others) Rachel Brosnahan, who played the lead in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It's a generational standoff blessed with warmth and understanding.
