I really enjoyed the history! I was 18 when Johnny morris first put those out. BASS was also a relatively new thing. I happen to be a life time member of BASS. I've now turned my aim at the "fish-to-eat" thing so perch/wallleye/pike are more my thing. I've been following your vids, soaking up your knowledge and am just at the start of rebuilding a 1986 Smoker Craft mod. V. Keep the good stuff coming! Trying my best to get an order ready.
Here in south florida they were selling bass boats on every corner They have since THINED out a bit. A 15 electric was a big motor with a weed cone on it you really had a set up. Roland Martin had a big part in the development of the weedless prop for electric motors.
Yeah. I wish I would have taken some video Footage of the bottom of the boat before they put the floor in. It was so oxidized. A complete repair Would have exceeded the price of a new Hull...
The boat was rough and all that heavy flooring with bottom hull damage. If my deceased dad gave had this, I would keep it as wall art only. Great job on those welds.
Wish I did my research first before purchasing a 12' riveted hull. Luckily, 2014 Alumacraft had one owner and was in good condition. But after sealing 192 rivets inside and out with Total Boat flex epoxy I started telling myself I shouldn't have to do this.. Next hull will not be a riveted boat 4 sho!
You will hit your goals bud you do good work and keep at it just rewatched the video because I didn’t see the whole premiere! I went to town earlier and seen that exact boat next to someone’s house, not the same one but you know what I mean!
Nothing you can do ❓ seriously, your a welder and can't cut bend and replace 👌😂😂. After watching your video and attitude, which do have valid points..... I wouldn't ever have you work on anything. Just because you're welds aren't good and probably will have issues. I can see it and you don't even have close ups.... that's how bad they are. You can try and blame it on old aluminum but that's just a very small part of it..... sloppy is more accurate. Beads standing up that tall is huge tell tail of your skills.
@Mr. Ski I appreciate you participating and commenting. All feedback is welcome. Yes I could literally cut the entire oxidized floor out and replace it, but the price tag would exceed that of a new Hull. I did this for free as a favor. As far as my welds go? I am certified in many welding procedures, and a lot of my work gets inspected by a CWI. I can guarantee you these welds will still be intact even when this boat is decommissioned. I keep it 💯 all the time, so if my attitude offends than I can't help you there? I'll never sugar coat my opinion, or experience in my field for anyone! I will be sure to showcase a close up of my next welding project just for you buddy! Thanks for watching! #tincankiller
Not the Choco Taco! 😂 nice work on the welds. I won’t be surprised when you build your own custom hull. I’d buy one
Coming soon!

@@TRICKEDTINS no doubt. I mean, there is value to preserving a classic but not every iteration of that classic is worthy of the investment.
GOOD WORK. Where's all the subs?
I wish I knew! My personal goal was to hit 10K by the end of the year. I'm also trying to put out a 100 videos I already have 71 This year!

I have one of these I'm wanting to put an aluminum transom in do you think it's possible or a good idea
I think you should upgrade boats if you want to put that kind of $$$ into a hull.
