This was shockingly good. If it isn't set up before hand and really is natural then this is a wicked production.
I'm confused what you see as "shockingly good". Honesty question. As someone who doesn't know who this guy or channel is , what I seen was just a shaking camera for 6 mins and a couple people eating typical backyard food while saying 2-3 words to the camera every once and a while.
@@numbersandsports4206 People just aren't used to seeing wholesome videos on TH-cam so when they do they're like 'HOLY SHIT THAT IS INCREDIBLE' when really it's just exactly how you described, but I'm more of a skeptic so I reckon most of this is bullshit.

@@zaxlorax7605 well the idea has been done before with a slight change. Theres a Korean show called "lets eat dinner together" where celebs go door to door asking for dinner. Once accepted the celebrity asks about them and their life while sharing a meal.
This is almost definitely real, I was a student around this area and the vibe is very wholesome/welcoming if a little bit upper middle-class hippy.

@@adamtadros1472 Well, there's skills and skills. Cutting really fast isn't important for a home cook, but avoiding your fingers is.
Hey I worked as a cook for years and I cut the tip of my finger really bad from not doing it properly had to get it stitched back on lucky it was covered by work now even at home I always use proper technique so I don't hurt myself again. If he wants to chopp this way let him he will learn the hard way or not at all its his choice not ours live and let live.
@@neoskater420 If you watch Adam Ragusa's video, it's about how professionals need to learn proper knife skills cause they chop like 1000 things a day, but a home cook can use improper slower technique cause they only chop like one onion at a time.

Try to steady the camera a bit more and maybe a bit less hard cuts. It gets disorienting for me after a while (and I can imagine I'm not the only one)
Other than that, this is such a unique idea and I really hope it takes off. Cheers from Canada.

well just go to Hawaii, like anything else depending on the area it's pretty friendly.
I had neighbors that gave us stuff occasionally and they're so friendly kind and nice.

Nice video, however you guys cut a lot, and In some cases to fast and we miss a bit or info we want to see/hear.
yep... there's excessive cutting. they gotta get it down by a little.
I actually liked the editing for the most part. So many needlessly lengthy videos on YT these days. I trust them to judge the raw footage and create content as concise as they wish.
The fast, frequent cutting/editing is 100% intentional and is part of the comedy I think.
I guess it is a lot about bringing the point across while having limited coverage. They have to cut around the moments which simply don't exist in the recording because of sound, light, framing....

This is an amazing idea!! Damn I wanna do a US version, but I need friends for that lol. You guys did a damn good job cooking. I think the part where you guys chat and eat is awesome, but I think if you guys had a section where you explain your cooking would really take this video another level.
I feel like a lot of people here in the US would be less accepting of this kinda stuff. (I mean, I wouldn’t mind, but still.)
Start a TH-cam channel where you go door to door looking for friends. Cuz that's not creepy

This has to be one of the my favorite channels I've stumbled upon. The concept is fun, the flow is natural, and the content is so wholesome. My hope is that as you guys improve your production quality you retain the genuine feel of it all.

Agreed, this isn't really a cooking show Imo, in the end it's more like a TH-cam version of "Come Dine With Me" except, it's the same 2 people going to random different houses for lunch. You guys should show your cooking, recipes and people's reactions to make it more a cooking show Imo.

Great show idea! In the future could you explain a bit more about how you're cooking the food because I feel like it would be a great way for people to learn about cooking while also learning about the people. Great series though!
I love how the hippie dude was just chillin in the house naked. I imagined the other side of the house being something like: naked dude sitting and playing his guitar. Girlfriend comes in, "Hey, there's some random guys that wanna cook us dinner!" Naked dude finishes a huge bong rip, "Cool, man, bring them in. We can, like, totally make new friends! Let me just put on a robe...."
I think this will be a big show one day. Such a cool concept and you're both awesome.

since you have these clips but we’re in the pandemic here’s an idea: re edit them but like in a meme type way u kno? (Like the choppiness feels cool and authentic tho but maybe you can piece it together a bit better :)
